Can i ask why? The player is still with Milton Keynes I think they probably will not go up Wycombe and either Sunderland or Sheffield Wednesday stand between them and the championship.I know he is linked with Notts Forrest but if they go up their targets might switch higher to the likes of COH or Hamer plus who is to say MR has not already put a bid in . As for £7 million each mentioned on here for our 3 I would want a decent bit more, they are worth far more than that to us.

His stock is exceptionally high right now and he has been the stand out player in league 1 this season. He will more than likely command a bigger fee than O'Hare. He scored 20 goals this season as an attacking midfielder - imagine that! Before anyone jumps in thinking I'm deliberately targetting O'Hare by the way I'm not. I think he's a great player and want to keep him, but Twine is already the greater prospect of the two.

Twine is also younger

Yep, apparently Paul Merson was singing his praises on soccer Saturday at the weekend and mentioned that championship and premier league clubs will be looking at him now.

It’ll be down to where he wants to go. I’m sure if we sold someone as is likely we could afford the fee, it’s unlikely to be much more than £3/4m.

If Twine became available the phone would ring off the hook, so many clubs would be interested in him. I've seen two names mentioned that I could see something in them Anderson and Rudoni. Both fit what we do and both are at clubs looking to loan out and sell.

I'm sure we will find out soon as I don't think MR will hang around with ins. It may take him time to get a few outs done should be a interesting summer.

Trouble is with ins. is that they are reliant on outs. If anyone is off (especially regarding the 'big 3) we cannot have it happening at the back end of the window, as that will mean we will be looking at a reduced pool of players from which to replace. Feel for MR, as it's a horrible way to have to juggle things.

It’s his job and I reckon he loves it

Maybe some people like the challenge don’t they? I’m sure you’re right though
There is the thing of getting more satisfaction if you've had to work harder. For example, I love growing the plants for my garden from seed even though I could quite easily and cheaply buy them from a garden centre because I get more satisfaction from seeing the thrive and bloom than if I've just planted them, when it feels like someone else's garden.

But there are instances where you really do want and need a shortcut or cheat because what you want to achieve will be nigh on impossible otherwise.

Ah well if Merson is touting him then he's going right to the top. No finer brain in the game,

I imagine we will see lots of names over the next few weeks and I don't think any of them would shick me The club is pointing in the right direction and MR is building a reputation of playing good football. So anyone who is a free agent I think if we call would take time to look at us seriously. I do believe MR is determined and passionate in getting us to the next level. He doesn't strike me as a man happy to plod along he has a desire to be and manage in the top league. If we don't I have a feeling he will .

Like you say there will be rumours galore which will do our heads in, not sure of his recent history injuries etc. but a player like Barkley is exactly what we need a strong, pacey acm. and would indicate a determination to go the next step towards the top end of the championship.
Hamer being linked to Brighton so quality replacement on a free and a chunk of money to boost the budget fine by me.

Can I just confirm, there is zero chance that we are signing Ross Barkley.

This right here is why these nonsense transfer rumour accounts exist.

The ideal challenge for being ‘in the zone’ is pitched slightly above your current level. MR is operating with a very thin margin for error-achieving a mid table finish with a bottom 6 budget. Give him a mid table budget and he may well turn it into a top 6 finish.

A bit frustrating that this will pretty much only happen if a huge bid comes in

My little brother told me about the Ross Barkley rumour. This is more ridiculous than the Joe Cole ‘rumour’ back in the Coleman era.

It’s just straight up silly talk.

Don't think anything is happening with the big 3 imminently but one of the fringe guys may be heading to L1 before too long
Be interesting to see the bench on Saturday which might give a clue

The end of the Shipley era. He's done well but we've out grown him and wish him all the best.

When has he ever been “pacey”?
