With every passing day the sounds seem to be getting louder that the big 3 will be off. We knew pressure would come, but my hope was to offload those not in plans quick and replace the priority areas before Spain. This would of eased the pressure to sell any of the 3 and give MR time to dig his heals in.
This hasn't happened and now its seems we don't have the wriggle room to fill those areas of priority, as we are stuck with some that are taking up budget. Once that happens the big 3 become the names you are moving towards the door. It just shows that recruiting the right players at the right time to fit where you are going as a club is massive. A few wrong steps and you are then forced as a manager to deal at the wrong end of his squad to create spending power to gain improvement.
Its not sounding good from the things i hear, but the more worrying noise is the ability to replace and strengthen multiple areas is not there. I hope its wrong but could be a battle this year to keep or improve on last seasons finish.
