Research, websites like Transfermarkt, or as childish as it seems videogames like Fifa or Football manager help to find out about players in other leagues, well thats how I find out at least

CB from Heracles Almelo age 23,contract expires 30 June.Mats Knoester was mentioned at one point as the player who may have been over to see us play. Left footed central defender from what I've seen of him (which admittedly isn't a huge amount). Positionally that'd certainly make sense.

Maybe, but we've got other positions we're even shorter on and so they've got to be sorted first. No point spending wages on a squad CM when we need a first choice CB and LWB.We need a CM even if Hamer stays. We have no cover for him at all and barely any cover for Sheaf of a decent standard.

The defender from a top premier league team could be Harwood-Bellis from Man City? Purely a guess but he will be nowhere near their first team next season and is a footballing centre half so would suit our style
