Going back a few years one of our most famous players possibly first name on the team sheet at the time had virtually f/a to do with his team mates off the pitch only football/club related things, still in the game at high level.first and for most for a team to succeed you need a base of a great team spirit for a start
As long as he does it on the pitch who cares, not at the club to play happy families.

Very much doubt that. Experienced head and very low earner… someone you’d want when you need 9 men on the bench

Who is that then?

Big ones for me we need to shift wage wise, even on loan are
Kane
Waghorn
Walker
Kelly
Decent wedge between them lot even if we still end up paying 50% of their wage
Cardiff City FC can confirm that a retained players list has been submitted to the EFL.
Eight members of the First Team squad will depart Cardiff City Stadium this summer. Leandro Bacuna, Ciaron Brown, Aden Flint, Josh Murphy, Marlon Pack, Alex Smithies, Isaac Vassell and Will Vaulks will leave the Club at the conclusion of their agreements on June 30th, 2022.
Probably not the one Slowpoke is thinking of but I remember that Paul Telfer had a bit of a reputation for being a solitary figure and uninterested in anything or anyone except golf. May have been rumours about the isolation but the focus on golf was right. Even Strachan admitted it.

Isn't that a different Bacuna? I think the Cardiff one is Leandro Bacuna but the Birmingham one was on loan from Rangers, Juninhio Bacuna?Bacuna was Birminghams only good player when we played them
When you see these retained lists from Championship clubs it again highlights how much dross there is in the league and how much horrendous money has been spent by some of the other clubs. Genuinely haven't seen one player I'd want us to be in for.Huge amount in fees gone out on most of those players. Murphy £11m, Bacuna £3m and £3m for Smithies.
Figueiredo wouldnt be a bad shout if the JCS deal doesn't happen

Never heard it called thatVaulks has a massive throw
Wouldn't be overly fussy if we went in for Flint. He's a pretty decent replacement for McFadz.
Vaulks would be nice but it seems Sheff Weds are after him and have started talks.
If Wycombe could afford him that would be a match made in heavenHe wouldn't as he's terrible with the ball and his defending ability is suspect at best.
His only use is that he can score from set pieces.

I would definitely say no to those. Got a good friend who is a Cardiff fan and he says they aren't good enough. They have both been there a long while and not an upgrade on what we have. Vaulks passing isn't good enough, and Pack doesn't have the energy we need either. So both would be below Allen in the pecking order.Wouldnt say no to Pack or Vaulks as midfield cover if the talk of Kelly wanting to leave for games is true
Most of those players are good on past reputation, but on a downward spiral aren't they?

Don't ever change Bob / Rupert etc

I thought he meant Gary MacStill in the game at a high level?
I’d take Smithes personally… good keeper
