@Skybluebeliever would you expect the recruitment work to continue as usual over the next few days or will it quieten down whilst we’re in Spain
Yes the recruitment is mainly done by Chris and his team , they would have identified players constantly for MR to consider
I think they have 3/4 targets and would see one of those coming in very soon

Is this the second player of this update or a new target altogether?

you can if it is piss poor and a b-movie version rip off of something else
This is the sort of shift people pull about the championship when they glory hunt or the rest of the PL when talking about the top 6 and is exactly the bollocks that brings a super league around.

American sports fans are different. So fucking what.

Another suggestion for this young centre back is Di’shon Bernard of Man United, was at Hull last season, would be achievable loan to permanent too given he’s 21 and probably not going to make it there.

The obligatory video calling him the future of football with loud music

Linked with him last summer

Wouldn’t be against it as a rotation option on a reasonable wage. I suspect though given the level of club he’s been at he’d be a high earner and for that you’d need him to be nailed on starter. 8 league games in 2 seasons…

Being reported as £400k compensation, doubt we could afford that unless we had sold someone, as depressing as that is

Can't afford £400k then where in the shit.

Daniel Mandriou, attacking midfielder from shamrock rovers. Linked to MK dons who could probably offer him more game time but could be an option if we did lose O’Hare. Been a few who have come over from the league of Ireland and done well recently.

I think the original plan was to bring four in; two defenders, attacking midfielder and striker. Attacking midfielder is in , the striker I think will not materialise because of having too many strikers and not being able to guarantee game time for new strikers.

Defenders… I think we were looking at Man City players originally and then JCS came on scene. These haven’t come through so we have 3/4 defenders that have been kept tabs on and will look to bring some of these in.

Are the players we are bringing in loans, free transfers or a combination of both?

Also Dawson Devoy, plays for Bohemians, looking like he's going to be a big player in the future

Some confusion around that one, believer and CovTel said it was a loan we were trying for not permanent.

I suppose if Burnley paid compensation it indicates Man City had offered a contract. Just not sure why he'd have been coming for a medical if it was a loan and he hadn't signed his contract. All a little confusing.

To be perfectly honest I’m happy with our forward options

think Fabio could feature more this year

and hoping for an improvement from waghorn

Walker could with a lot of work still be a real asset to the side but he is about as bereft of confidence as half the forum
