Anderson has been impressive on Newcastle’s tour, so they might keep him around or it’ll be done very late

It may be left late but I very much doubt he'll be retained this season.

There's already a fair few players in his position in front of him, with further rumoured to be brought in, and whilst he's performed well, he's been up against Gateshead and 1860 Munich so far this pre-season.

I think it's pretty nailed on that he'll be sent out on loan again so he can get regular football.

I think MR will be in a strong position once a transfer goes through . He has played a great game so far and said the right things at the right time . I would say he has got his own way majority of the time, until the deal is done though and he and the club know what has been received in money terms it’s hard to say

I think it’s always been said the club will take any monies but MR is so clever at making it work somehow

Do you know if City are lining up Tino Anjorin as a replacement for O’Hare in case Sisu does not release funds for the Derby signings? Or simply a precautionary measure in case O’Hare is sold even closer to the start of the new season, to get someone in training now?

Tavares will be interesting to watch this season. He should get more time and could even push for a start. Looks like he is getting better and buying in to whats needed to be in 1st tram squads.

Other younger players should react well to seeing him sign, it shows the pathway for them. If they really want a career out of this game the opportunity is available.

I wonder if one of these is potentially Anjorin

The Huddersfield manager said he wasn’t capable of starting a game (fitness wise). With Robins already cautious about Palmer and warning fans it could take months up to get up to speed it would be strange to bring in another to replace the ever present O’Hare.

But maybe that’s the market we’re shopping in

I guess you could argue that the 2 would replace the 1. Kind of makes sense.

Interesting update

My prediction would be Adaramola on loan and this Andjorin as well. Then if O'Hare goes perhaps we would get Max Bird and Sibley in on permanent deals. With Kelly injured again another CM would be useful and we would then have 3 CAM options compared to the 1 we had last year.

Would actually be pretty pleased if this was to happen ans the money for O'Hare was right.

Robins did say up to 4 more given that there is movement from our end as well. perhaps two loans and two permanent moves? lwb and cam loan as well as sibley and bird on perm with o’hare moving the other way?

I'm a bit concerned that having reduced our need for loan players to bolster the squad, we're moving back towards it. Especially if we sell one or more of the big 3 and replace with a loanee, feels completely unsustainable.

I wonder if it’s because of the need to get rid of deadwood at the end of the season. If he thinks we can make some better perm signings in the summer after he’s cleared the decks it kinda makes sense.

TBH I’m not against loans, every other team uses them, some to excellent effect. As long as it’s as well as bringing in our own talent not instead of.

I suppose then again he might just be looking for extra players to bolster the squad in exceptional circumstances of a high number of games pre December

Jesse fucking Lingard:

Forest have held productive discussions with Lingard and it is understood that they have made an extremely lucrative offer. The 29-year-old, who has also been targeted by Everton, Leicester, Tottenham and Newcastle, has been holding out for £180,000 a week.

If Forest pay that and get relegated they deserve to end up where Derby go
