Transfer Shouts (3 Viewers)

long way home

I think we will see a couple of outs over next week or so. That way MR can look again to see what and where we need depth.

Multiple outs and any of
Kane, Walker, Waghorn, Dinanga, Bapaga, Reid, Rus, Bilson or Finnegan could do with games or moving on. I do think we will see the lad from Spurs in 1st team squads this season. He has obviously showed something to someone that has made MR comment, probably more developed and advanced than they thought. MR will pull him into 1st team sessions to see how far or close he is.

There isn’t. They used to ask for updates loads on Reid too to see how he was progressing (or not).

In my view if a decent CM loan potentially was available for 6 months then yes whilst there is Kelly injury but it's not essential. Without outgoing from the first team squad then not beyond that no.

i think one more season long loan without anyone else going, preferably a midfielder that can cover CM and AM. If anyone goes then more in.

For me we are still short in midfield. We have only 6 senior midfielders including Kelly who is injured and Palmer who is not up to speed.
There is no way that will get us through a busy season and it severely limits our options and rotation.

Yeah that would be the perfect loan. Someone who can play either Hamer or O’Hares role.

Anyone in mind?

Alex Smithies is now training with them, so the suggestion they’re going to come out and spend £1m+ on Moore is ridiculous when they can sign equal/better on a free

Bournemouth are really going for it this year, people need to get their points up this year for the tiny allocation there again next year. When they come down they won’t need the parachute payments as they don’t seem to be overspending

As I said a short term midfield loan makes sense until Kelly is back fit. Palmer is only going to get up to speed by playing games ultimately.

Dwight McNeil might be going to Everton so Burnley might come back in for O’Hare so perhaps Robins doesn’t wanna make that final loan if he may need it for a different position.

Smithies would have been my choice as replacement for Moore but yeah I’m sure Bournemouth will go for him

MR should really be looking to bring in Callum Wright on a loan with buy option from Leicester. Think he's the perfect player to fill the gaps at CM and AM. Was superb at Cheltenham in L1 this past season and his contract expires summer 2023. Think he could be the next big player for us, only 22 so similar situation as O'Hare when he first joined us on loan. Cov's close proximity to Leicester could also be a boost in signing him. Seems to be getting on in pre season so they may want to keep him, but I'm pretty sure they can't register anyone else. Just a shout 😉
