HJe has with Tats in the CAM role

CM is fine

Sheaf and Hamer are the best CM pairing in this league. Allen Kelly and Eccles are good enough cover
CAM I’m happy with Palmer, Sakamoto, Allen and COH to come back.

CM needs strengthening imo. Yes Hamer and Sheaf are an excellent partnership and Eccles and Kelly have proven they can fill in. But, we lose too if either Sheaf/Hamer are injured or suspended. At least a loanee perhaps - we’ve been linked with a couple of CMs and there’s no smoke without fire.

Lost the squad thread so this is where its at .. no point putting howley there etc because he isn't really featuring is he ..

We probably need 3 players at most after wright and the squad will be Much stronger than last season

2 centre halves 1 striker View attachment 31137

CM backup is a massive drop off from the first team. I’d be worried if Hamer wasn’t available.

Bit of a random shout. Apparently there's been interest in him (not necessarily from us) and he's not in Stoke side today. Tyrese Cambell - looked really good whenever I've seen him

Not sure we could afford him or he'd be willing to come and play second fiddle

Promising players from league below that have being linked or at least talked about on the forum...
Kitching and Styles start for Barnsley
Cashin and Bird start for Derby, but Louis Sibley doesn't appear to be in the squad.

Watching the Barnsley game, never mind Kitching who we’ve been linked to, they’ve got a lad at the the back, Jordan Williams whose having an absolutely great game so far.

ok it’s only 30 minutes of football, but definitely one to keep an eye on

You're right but I think it's a lot to down how we've strengthened this summer. Which has made that gap seem bigger.

It's one of those things but if we've got the next Hamer or O'Hare, I don't think they will be given the same opportunities. I think Eccles could develop with that pressure and responsibility.

I still feel like we need one more good midfielder at this level. Would love to get Adam Forshaw, but I’d be content with Patino on loan.

Keeping him injury free prior to a transfer maybe...

21 years old. I wouldn't say no for the right price.
