Can see Cresswell signing tbf, linked with a move away from Leeds, with them signing Adjei aswell should speed up his exit. Remember seeing in the summer we were interested in him.

I think we’re still chasing Adjei, Nixon said we’re second in a race for someone (lot of money). A lot of reports early last week that he was close to signing for Leeds but it’s gone a bit quiet of late.

A RCB to partner Kitching would be a decent upgrade IMO, Thomas for me doesn’t give MvE the balls he wants and we don’t make enough of him, I like Thomas but think he’s still raw in a few areas and some proper competition wouldn’t go amiss, especially with Joel playing here there and everylatibeaudiwhere.

Thomas has improved so much the last 6 games or so

And he’ll keep improving, but who knows how much cash we’ve got and if it’s silly money and we can get a Brekalo or a Adjei in and they’re an upgrade I would. In that second tier where we’ve either got players who look not quite ready (Thomas, Collins, Simms, Eccles) or not quite what the position needs (Bidwell/Dasilva) I could see us making a random signing people didn’t expect. Obviously CM and backup for the wide forwards is priority one.

Would take two Prem loans in the wide forward positions if we were looking to save money. Hopefully they’d be more Jaden Philogene than Jordan Maguire-Drew though. Guys like Cozier-Duberry from Arsenal or Shoretire from United.

Also, had a look at what Denis Dragus is up to and he’s been on fire in Turkey. City’s Talent ID is very good.

The only name doing the rounds on Saturday in the casino which is full of ITKs was the Notts County lad, so that probably means it won’t happen.

Wangstaff didn't train with Notts County today....

I think our 2 centre backs are settled and i think the backup is decent enough. With the change in system I'd be surprised if it was a position near the top of our list.

That's fair enough but back in the summer he was valued around 5 million mark and was widely regarded as going on to one of the top five leagues .
Just wonder if his groin injury was worse than first feared ??
Wouldn't mind paying 2 million with a view to next season post Fadz and possibly Binks

I liked the look of him too, the price was just hearsay mind you. Maybe its simply a case of, with the progression of Thomas and Kitching coupled with formation change, we can't offer a guaranteed first team spot anymore.

yeah, i could see it when we played a back 3 but currently we have 4 or 5 if you include Fadz CBs that can play in this league competing for 2 places

If someone else has already mentioned this I apologise, but just a thought, this player we are supposed to be in 2nd place to sign, maybe Manuel Benson the winger from Burnley, meant to be going to Hull on loan. They've signed Carvalho now so may not be going for Benson anymore.
