Why ? He scores goals and a workhorse apparently

We've got three players who can play as a no. 9 already, two of which we've dropped a lot of money on, and given long contracts. He's older than both.

If we want to use 433 this season and beyond, we need options in the wide positions. Nothing anyone has said suggests he'd offer that.

We're also not struggling to score goals so dropping money on a forward needs to have obvious value on the resale side of things which I don't see with him.

Which position would we spend money? I guess AM is one, with the O'Hare contract situation. We've spent on strikers/wingers, so can't see Simms, Wright, Sakamoto being replaced by bigger names (although we do need depth). We've spent on the defence and have 3 keepers. Interesting comment if there is any truth in it.

Could still be looking at centre half, maybe a different sort of forward?

Yeah, striker possible i suppose as a Godden replacement to challenge Simms. Centre half, maybe. I like the Thomas/Kitching partnership but certainly need at least one addition there in the next 2 windows.

Outside chance of a Sheaf replacement/upgrade? Not sure it's a desperate need.

It also looks like he’s actually on loan to Sparta from Lommel where he’s under contract til 2025

Remember the SBT transfer targets rule:
If someone’s mentioned a name on here without being an “official” ITK or having seen a solid leak from a journalist then that’s not that player we’re actually going after 😂

(Well, that’s the rule I’m going with anyway as every player we’ve signed since King took over has been very left field. Not to put a dampener on things but I’m fed up of having my hopes crushed with these big name suggestions.)

Magnus Mattsson.

24 year old Danish Attacking Midfielder/Left winger playing for NEC in the Eredivisie. Shares an agent with our man Torp.

9 goals in 16 games so far this season plus 4 assists. As best I can tell he's out of contract in June.

Pure guesswork but all there on paper

One player in my opinion who would fit the mould is Million Manhoef. Dutch u21 winger been heavily linked with Rangers, Leicester and others. Might have been in around the scene similar time to MVE. Seems to be available for around £2-3m but only as Vitesse need the money apparently.

I mentioned him a couple of weeks ago he would be a quality pick up methinks

We should be scouting Paradou AC in Algeria. Same club Zorgane, Kadri (loosely rumoured player from a few months ago), and many more talented players have come from. They're the best "talent producing" club in the country, the La Masia of Algeria. They currently have a few talented youngsters on their books worth taking a look at, namely Yacine Titraoui, Adil Boulbina and Adel Bouzida.

Such neat and tidy players the Japanese and so many play in Belgiam, Holland and Scandinavia
Incredible work rates as well. I wouldn't mind us looking at more Japanese players if they turn out anything like Sakamoto, absolute gem of a find so far! I've also noticed a few football fans from Japan have started following Coventry since his signing.

hardly any players on our radar for january atm. king has told robins most likely be summer before we see extra players coming in. unless players leave who need replacing.

godden and moore could be leaving for warmer climates.
Proven bullshit within 48hrs + on what planet are we letting Godden leave without signing a replacement?

A Swedish friend of mine obviously follows the Allsvenskan religiously(AIK fan himself) and said he thinks we should go after Momodou Sonko from Hacken. Can play on either wing or up front and has 11 goals in 31 appearances this season and is only 18 years old. Apparently pretty rapid also and my friend thinks will be making his debut for Sweden men's team sooner rather than later.

I asked him how much he thought they would want for him and he said probably at least 2 to 3m. Too much?

Good point; I don't know really anything about the kid but my friend said all Swedish fans think he is the next superstar for them.
