And it’s good to dream but some think he is on the 09:00 from Euston! Even if we sold a player for £50m, does not mean we can suddenly begin to buy high earners and put the majority on silly money. FFP dictates that.

Although he’s not coming here FFP doesn’t stop it

Same here, as good as Haji’s been he’s not a proper out and out winger, okay maybe it’s not necessary that we sign a winger but a real quality wide player could take us to the next level. I look at Jack Clarke at Sunderland, without him Sunderland wouldn’t be the half the team they currently are (not saying we should sign him, just giving an example).

At the same time I think Haji’s got a lot to offer so I wouldn’t want to drop him either, could maybe have him as main striker and rotate with Simms? Maybe room to sell Godden then? Just airing some half-baked ideas.
We don't need a proper out and out winger or even use one that way

I think for the LW slot you’re most likely to see someone like the Liverpool lad who can slot in at LB if needed and allow us to sit in in a 451 more effectively like Saka can on the right, or a striker who can play out wide. I don’t think we’ll be after a classic tricky get to the byline winger.

So we have fixed energy bills? Fixed costs on all staff? No rent increases? As stated, running a football club is not just wages.
That will all be from a different budget.

I wouldn’t mind betting Doug King has worked out how to pay the bloody gas bill

I've seen Jack Clarkes name so many times on here 🤣 there's not one realistic scenario where Clarke comes here or to any other Championship team. West Ham and a couple of others in the Prem after him, will be 12million plus too

Jack Clarke, Ryan Sessignon, Jesse Lingeard…. Bugger, and here was me thinking we would bag all 3 😏😂 not a chance on any and wouldn’t want JL

It’s naive to expect a 1:1 spend on transfer revenue in and out.

There’s the fees we’ve supposedly paid, the agent fees and player wages to take into account to. Which is going to increase as well.

To make any player the highest paid player by a margin can be problematic and raise wage expectations of new and existing players. This can cause the wage bill to spiral out of control and end up like Derby and other clubs.

If we end up losing COH on a free, it’ll be a case of Sod’s Law. We had a player of value get a 12 month injury with 18 months left on his contract. The player didn’t want to sign a contract during his injury and the club probably felt it risky to offer such a contract anyway.

From COH’s POV, he can’t really lose. He’s seen the club offer Jodi Jones contracts for his rehab and no doubt if COH goes the same way we’ll keep him. Yet, if he comes back and performs well (which he is), he earns a move away on more money or if we get promoted, gets Prem wages with us.

There’s not a lot we can do in the circumstances.

This. Expecting us to spend everything we've earned in fees is mental. We all know clubs in this league lose money each year if they're building the kind of squad we are. Some money needs to be kept to fund that shortfall. I'm fine if that's what DK chooses to do. Don't want points deductions either, Thanks!

If someone had told us we'd spend £20-25m from £35m in sales most would have doubted it so if it's just a good loan up front in Jan on top of Torp, assuming CoH stays till Jun that's a good outcome. His situation is one of those things. Make the best of it for the club in its current position and move on.

Jamie Bynoe-Gittens available for loan from Dortmund after Sancho moved back.

Very ambitious but shoot for the stars and all that.

More chance of landing Brian Gittins I reckon

Who would people get then? Let’s pretend this ambitious signing will be levels above everyone else and a guaranteed starter. What position? If we aren’t moving Wright to CF I can only see a ST

Please don’t get pulled into the Nixon b****hit! He is a fraud and out of every 59 guesses, he is bound to get 1 right. I will try to dig out his tweet about us getting Vic Torp, on hang on….
I don't really believe it particularly but I'm aching to add to the shit list.

Minor point he says *the* rival not *a* rival so likely means the European club he mentioned bidding against us.

One of the most ... I have no words ... statements from Nixon. Can he fit any more non-information into a tweet ?
