Transfer targets (10 Viewers)

Dunno if I could forgive him that heart palpitation he gave me at Wembley

It was more the heart palpitations he gave me earlier in the season. The amount of times he let people run in behind him. He got away with a lot to be honest.

Talking transfers It’s a buyers market if you have money in the bank as we do. as said above ffp is starting to bite, clubs need to shift players off and high wages a burden.
We thankfully are in a decent position financially.

We need to be able to explain why Luton have performed better than Burnley and Sheffield. They have scored more and conceded less in the PL despite being miles behind them in the Championship. Going up, assuming we aren't going to do a Notts Forest and gamble massively on a new squad (which might still catastrophically fail for them), we need to make sure we're more Luton or Brentford rather than Burnley or, I suspect, Leicester. I think Ross Barkley was an absolutely brilliant signing for Luton. If they go down, and we go up, can we nab?

Better team spirit and work ethic goes a long way.

Something about this new Burnley side didn't sit right with me. yeah they play attractive football especially in the Championship but their squad just felt packed with those players that are't quite Prem standard but are too good for the Championship.

tbf I'd have backed Fadz to score or Bidwell, or to at least got it on target as soon as Dabo stepped up I knew deep down he would miss.

Well this is the thing isn't it. Whether it was a poor decision from Robins, or the player himself (I've heard silly arguments for both: 'At least he (a professional footballer) was brave enough to take it' etc etc) - Dabo stepping up to take a penalty was always going to end up with advantage Luton one way or another. Despite what a couple of people say on here, everyone around me in the stadium was confined to it once they saw him walking up. It sadly proved to be correct, and that decision still baffles me.

I find it odd the same few people keep saying 'it's done now stop talking about it'. It was the biggest moment and match for us in modern history, to not talk about it is bizarre. I think some fans are just a bit sentimental about Dabo and can't deal with any form of criticism going in his direction. The latest Forest Green Rovers shenanigans more or less proved that with some very strange defensive comments and 'pray4dabo' type rhetoric.

Gelhardt from Leeds?
Just a suggestion

Please no. Did absolutely nothing at Sunderland last year, annd was pretty anonymous at Wigan the season before that and can’t get into the match day squad at Leeds 3 years after being seen as the next big thing….

I really can’t see why anyone thinks he’d be an upgrade on what we have.

The names will become more desperate the closer we get to the close of the window. I understand the frustration but Robins will not bring anyone in who he doesn't think can add and improve the squad.

He is holding on to what he has until someone better is available. He will never show his hand and push all questions away, but i would guarantee they are working on deals. And will have all bases covered

Nixon keeps saying he is on 'Premier League wages'. Seems circa £25k a week

Someone had previously mentioned Wharton from Blackburn. Palace have just had a bid of £18.5m rejected for him. Think we can file that one under unlikely.

Spot on. Losing on penalties was obviously awful but for all the pages of Dabo psycho-analysis that’s followed, you have to accept it’s essentially a game of chance. Losing in the very last minute of the actual game because of a bizarre mistake from a crap loanee CB is much worse, I was devastated (for about 30 seconds).
I had my head in my hands, crouched forward. My mate tapped me on the back and said “it’s gone to VAR”. Tbh I didn’t even see the result of this, just everyone started cheering so I joined in!!!
