An interesting legal showdown is coming as the SC narrowly voted against letting them steal money already signed off by Congress. I mean it should have been unanimous but if they ignore even that ruling it’s all the proof you need that they see themselves as kings rather than elected officialsAgreed, they have control of every area of government and are removing anyone they believe to be in anyway not 100% behind them. The only way Trump goes is if he drops down dead, which given his age and health isn't out of the question. The issue then is you're relying on the more sensible republicans to not just wave Vance through to take his place.
But we know the majority of politicians are self serving and we're already seeing very unhappy republican voters turning up at town halls. You would think that will increase as Trump, Vance and Musk continue to take action that will make peoples standard of living drop.
Part of the problem is so much is going on how much can people take in. How many Republican voters who were complaining about the price of eggs noticed that Musk fired the people working on bird flu outbreak and had to go back cap in hand to try and get them to return, how many people are paying attention to Trump handing over national parks to logging companies etc etc etc

I remain convinced there is insider trading going on with the tariff business. Tank the market, give the robber barons a heads up so they can either bet on the market going down or buy up certain stocks super cheap, then withdraw the threat shortly after.I can usually try to find a way of justifying some of the more bizarre decisions Trump makes. Constant talk of tariffs and DOGE has led to uncertainty around growth which has led to government borrowing costs reducing (US needs to refinance $7trn soon) is an example. As is telling Zelenskyy that he’ll withhold further financial support to Ukraine to try to force them into peace talks…not something I agree with but can at least understand some of the logic
Pulling US intelligence sharing in Ukraine with little/no warning leaving citizens at the mercy of Russian bombs is an unjustifiable disgrace though
