Someone whose lost his cognitive thinking and shouldn’t be able to stand as President

What’s your evidence for this claim and why do you think it doesn’t apply to two certifiable mentalists in Trump and Kennedy.

This and the Starmer stuff really marks you and the horseshoe crew out as not at all serious TBH.

It’s not is it? Economy doing well, progressive policy being enacted.

Can't disagree with that but still think it will come back to bite the world on the arse.
I think Biden standing will enable Trump in the same way Clinton did.

Unfortunately, it’s pretty much inevitable that Trump will end up president. I’d also expect him to try and change the constitution to stand for another four years.

I think (hope!) Biden will win.

Trump is going to get more and more extreme through the rest of his campaign and I think he'll do or say something that will tip the undecideds over the edge to think 'that's a bit too much crazy even for me'.

To be honest he's said so much shit already but it just get batted away.
Any faux pas by Biden gets much more focus but he's still a fucking wrong un to be fair

Oh I know, but I just think he's going to get even more absurd, even more crazy, even more nasty, to try and get the win. Whilst that will sadly actually appeal to many Americans, I think he'll go too far and put some of the moderates off.

What progressive policy exactly?

Inflation Reducrion Act stuff on clean energy production. Projected to be $800bn of green investment BTW which makes Labours Green policy of last week look like Labours Green policy of today.

He’s the most interventionist president of our lifetime FFS.

Fair, sad to see zero mention of health care in that article though.

Infra spending. Some mild gun control. Student debt forgiveness. Releasing prisons held for weed crimes. Far more left wing than Clinton or Obama on any metric yet not enough to let’s get a fascist in lmao

Suddenly that EU army that was never going to be looks a good idea if Trump gets in again.

I presume that’s a joke ? Just look at the difficulty in providing Ukraine support being held up by Hungary. I can see it now ’Hold on Vlad, don’t invade anyone just yet, we have to go through our usual months of bureaucratic laborious negotiations to decide whether we all agree we can employ our army’

Love or hate them, if the US left nato we will be living in a more dangerous world. Trump wouldnt have an excuse to leave nato if everyone was paying their way though. As mentioned earlier we need the other nato members to start doing their bit asap either way. In the EU/Europe I think it’s only some Eastern Europeans, Greece, France and ourselves that have been spending their fair share on defence. Too many freeloaders. Without the US, Putin would probably fancy his chances

The horseshoe crew. Lol - the only one who is laughed at is the so called socialist who when at last gets a decent payday abandons his beliefs and becomes a Thatcherite in all but name.

I think considering the economic difference between the US and literally everyone else they’re always going to pay more.

Yes - you’ve suddenly found a decent income and it’s meant you essentially are a conservative - it’s massively conflicting for you - your pretences now to remain left wing are funny and tragic in equal respect

Of course. I was talking about the agreed minimum 2% of GDP for nato members…which a load haven’t been paying for years

His transformation reminds me of some of my school friends who have gone from canvassing for Labour to being private landlords and expressing fear at what Starmer might do to them if elected.

I do feel a bit sorry for him - it’s clearly traumatic

Believing I should pay much more tax so we can afford much better and new public services is conservatism now is it? Must have missed your PopCon speech sorry.

I’ll break the crayons out for you on the 1% chance you’re genuine here. I had never had a bonus, I did not know how they were taxed. I asked on here if I was missing something because it sucks losing 40% of your bonus (it does). I was told no, that’s the tax law, I sucked it up. I have not campaigned for lower taxes on bonuses. I pay my tax gladly. However just because I think the tax base should rise does not mean I should morally pay more tax than required. This is an absolute smooth brain take on par with “oh protesting capitalism on an iPhone are we???”

You believe in free markets, you still drive on roads and call the police and use other public services and yes, pay tax 😮. It’s OK Grendel. You can finally stop beating yourself up, you do not have to live in a pretend land that is perfectly congruent with the most extreme version of your own political ideology. Opinions on how governments should run are just that.

Yeah for a US President, he's positively Commie!

Of course that also sets up a polar opposite between him and Trump which probably gets more exploited by Trump going forward.

Mmm. It’s a bit of a blinkered view though Steve. You’re putting spend and only spend as a measurement of importance. Take Iceland for instance. No military force therefore no military spend yet NATO members. The reason is the strategical importance of Icelands location. So there’s more than one way to value membership other than how many $’s they’re spending. Something Trump will never understand.

Truth is our European neighbours, especially France have been our most important military allies for decades. Whose aircraft carriers did our planes operate from while we had none? France. Which country do we do more joint exercises with? France. The threat of Trump will ultimately mean the requirement of greater cooperation between European countries and that’s already started because of Putin. Yes they were slow to respond to Ukraine but they’ve improved massively despite Orbans best efforts.

Againd, you're probably right, but at the moment there's only one POTUs funding genocide.
I'm really pissed off about all those dead women and kids, and those Hammas killed as well so would like some fucker to try and stop it.
So would I but believe me Trump isn't your man for this and he will cause unknown additional chaos.
