The majority of Americans want trump. You think he is thick? He is one of the most successful humans on the planet.
So successful that if he'd put all the money he inherited in a savings account with even a tiny interest rate he'd be a LOT richer than he is now.

I was just about to say the same. He’s a fucking sociopathic idiot who was gifted lots of money at birth, and was lucky enough that when all his investments failed it would’ve cost too many people too much money to let him go bust.

Having said this in the snippets I’ve heard, I imagine his childhood was pretty shitty, on an emotional level.

Didn’t TokTok just massively overinvest in his social media platform too? Seems like a huge conflict of interest.
Don’t know about this, but one of Trump’s wealthiest supporters also happens to be one of TikTok’s largest investors in the US

I see Trump really got annoyed and angry about it being Transgender Visibility Day on Sunday, just gone.

Calling it an absolute outrage that Biden declared it on the same day as the most important religious day in the Christian calendar, Easter Sunday.

Really gone to town over it and Republicans and Christians over there are now demanding Biden apologise, calling it disgusting and offensive.

Only problem is, Transgender Visibility Day has been on the 31st March since it's onset in 2009. Always 31st March, which Trump conveniently forgot to mention.

Another case of misleading information, because the angle that is coming out in this is that Biden chose this day, of all days.

Just so happened that 31st March this year was Easter Sunday.

Asking to move it, would be a different argument, but that's not the argument being made.

The argument is that Biden declared it to be on this day and it's offended millions of Americans

Maybe that’s where I’d got it from. I suspect the fact the US is talking about a sale or ban means it’s worth funding the candidate most likely to turn it over. If you were of a tin foil persuasion.

I am not sure how transgender visibility can be seen as anti Christian. The Culture Wars have just got so divisive.

Nor me
The argument goes something like god made man and woman and so that’s it
Well ok that works for you but what effect does it have on your life if someone identifies differently?
well it demeans what god made us to be- really?
Yeah and I should be able to say so - well ok you should say it then
However many Christians also like to be kind and generous and love unconditionally but not condone activities or opinions that dehumanise or turn people from god
Mmmmmmmtricky one then

But he said he's got bibles in every room of his house while trying to make money out of selling bibles and I for one believe him

Ignoring the huge fundamentalist religious support for transgender ideology cos it means they can trade their gay son for a straight daughter, see Iran for example, but also large chunks of the US.

But it does kinda suggest God makes mistakes, which a lot of religious people aren’t keen on.

Same reason a lot of crunchy types who don’t believe in big farmer (I know, it’s intentional), are anti trans because “you shouldn’t outsource your happiness to drug companies/surgery” which is basically an atheist “God made you perfect who are you to argue” type thing.

As an ideology it steps on a lot of toes that being gay didn’t. Religion (like the gays), social conservatives (like the gays), but also rationalists, second wave feminists, material socialists, anti-medicine types, conspiracy theorists, “leave the kids alone” mums groups.

Lots of groups of angry people with strongly held metaphysical beliefs.

Feel for the actual people caught in the middle of such a huge metaphysical debate. They’ve been done dirty by activists pushing past rights and into science, biology, neuroscience, etc. I get the wish to have something solid to base your rights claims on, but I think it’s a mistake as then your rights are subject to the evidence which can be debated.

Gay rights weren’t brought in because science said so or we thought gay people had an untreatable condition we should make allowances for, if they were the same arguments that are still unsettled today about “why” someone is gay would be getting in the way. They made the pure rights point of “what does it matter to you if I’m gay?” And won the vast majority over. No need to drag the pendants in and start combing over genes or get into Twitter fights with Richard Dawkins. Just need to take on the “marriage is a man and woman” crowd which is comparatively tiny and socially seen as a bit weird anyway.

This was covered years ago by Python, now admittedly back then it was seen as a comedy sketch not an instructional manual.

I seriously doubt they could have foreseen how much we would have progressed in such a short time.
