I’m not a betting man but my understanding is that the odds reflect the money staked on each candidate.

I think it is the case that men (who are more likely to back Trump according to the polls) are more likely to gamble than women. If that’s right, it will skew the odds in favour of a Trump victory.

I'm British pal, no serious stake in what's happening like you Americans.

Just pointing out that you appear to be doing the thing you accused others of probably doing in the future.

What is it I am doing?

If you had no stakes in it, surely you wouldn't care to bother replying.

Mental ! $4 out of every $5 total Ad spending spent in swing states. May as well have just bribed people directly. What a waste of money

It's reasonable to condem the Capitol but accept the left have a massive problem accepting democracy as well.

Attempted assassinations and attacks on Trump supporters are absolutely not fine at all either.

The left have a massive problem accepting democracy?

Are you seriously comparing the actions of a couple of unhinged individuals, with Trump and his supporters bare-faced lies about the election 'steal' in 2020, the storming of the Capitol building in 2021 (complete with gallows!), and Trump's insistence this time around that the Democrats can only win by cheating?

That's madness mate, I'm sorry. There's only one side here that has a problem with Democracy, and it's the Trump republicans.

I've just got back from the States. The people I spoke to weren't worried about Trump winning the election half-as-much as they were worried about what happens immediately afterwards if he doesn't.

Fully expecting Trump to claim victory by 2am UK time.

Trump claimed victory in 2020 too.

I'd wait for the official counts mate, if I were you. Turns out the bloke's a bit of a liar, perhaps you'd not noticed?

Oh dear.

You are in such an echo chamber it's actually laughable. Even when you step into the real world somehow you only bump into other leftists. The only thing that qualifies as madness here are the tightening straps on your blinkers.

Fair point.

Crooks literally was a registered Republican.

I said, the left should not be trying to assassinate Trump, or attack his supporters. It goes both ways.

You have ignored all of that, and went down a rabbit hole that both shooters were republican, which has now backtracked to one. The reality was that they were both brainwashed by crazed leftists, and had both donated to democrat political organization groups. It's like SkyBlueTony shooting Nigel Farage, and you saying he is a far-right fanatic because he once voted UKIP. Your facts are slanted.

Regarding the rest of the violence from democrats to republicans. Will you denounce it, or is it fair game? Here's another example from a few day ago: Police: Bath man arrested, attacked stranger for Trump hat

The Pennsylvania shooter was a registered Republican who voted for them 2 years ago. That's more like a current Reform party member trying to assassinate Farage. The guy in Florida was supporting Nikki Haley's campaign this year, admittedly his views were kind of all over the place.

You're like Piers Morgan at the moment, itching to say you want Trump to win but for some reason bottling it up. Go on, it's ok!

You still haven't denounced violence towards Trump supporters, why? You seem intent on deflecting and coming up with silly stories.

Looks like it's going to be really close anyway, which I think is not healthy. Both sides could claim fix very easily couldn't they.

Seeing a decent number of comments regarding the fact that under the constitution its the current vice president who, acting as president of the Senate, is the person who has to declare the result of a presidential election.

Don't think there will be an issue if Harris loses, other than the usual conversation around the electoral system itself, but it seems very likely if Trump loses the result won't be accepted.

Or request for a "People's Vote", or that half of the country didn't know what they voted for

Make Brexit Great Again

The bedwetting from remain supporters was one of the most embarrasing reactions to a vote I've ever seen.

'Let's have another vote'. Brought to you by the people that can definitely accept the result of an election or referendum.

Trump wanted Mike Pence to accept the ‘fraudulent elector slates’ that would make him win the election. Pence said no, Trump got people to chant ‘hang Mike Pence’ and the rest is history.

The man is a textbook definition of ‘fascist’.

Trump is a dangerous sociopath. I have no clue what Harris is like but from what people are saying she’s not great either. How it came to this that USA has these two as the best choices, it’s incredible really- but also another example of the power shift in the world, away from USA. Dark times all over the world unfortunately.

She has pledged to do some pretty good stuff if elected, but will probably not have the votes to do very much.

Trump needs to get beaten convincingly so the country can move on, it’s not in our interests for the US to be a mess.

oh definitely- I don’t know much about Harris so I’m not commenting on her either way, but the sooner Trump is in the rear view mirror the better for everyone.
