What can we do?
We cant do anything about the Butts thing but at least people engaged. For gods sake isn't it about time the fans show a bit of targeted anger about what all these people are doing to our club. Before anybody starts I don't mean violence I mean forcing all these parties to come clean about why they are all trying their hardest to destroy our club.

So by the interest on this thread we can safely say that the majority of people on sky blue talk aren't interested☹️

CCFC said they want a new stadium and facilities nearby to house the whole CCFC and academy operation.

Those who currently house those two entities have looked at that and decided to secure the future of their sites.

CCFC have been looking for that site for 3 years and we now pinning all hopes on the Butts, but I cant see where we can house the academy there.

But again what can we do as fans? :( we need the local media to back it and put some pressure on.

But they said that ages ago? They have said for about a year they want to sort the higgs?

There's no point going on about what was said ages ago when things have changed is there?

Those who house them both said they want to build trust and be long term just before selling out, pattern there.

Why can't people give a shit?

With irrelevant crap like this (and not even true) we deserve all we get.

I don't disagree with you, but what and how?

Any suggestions thrown up end up being a damp squib, bar a couple of half decent marches through the city. The rest either end up with bog all people doing them, or they end up stopped before they begin as everyone argues.

So... what and how?

What has really changed ? We are still in court and going back, we don't have a new ground and have barriers in the way to build one, we are still in League One and look no further fwd than we were when we came back to Ricoh.

a) which part is not relevant or true ?
b) what can we do as fans ?

Anderson has said he wants a long term future for the Academy so why dig some stuff up from years ago.

As for the second comment - well - says it all really. Why not do something useful like quote something from 3 years ago (oh you've done that) best open the Portsmouth thread. Heaven forbid you'll say something relevant or useful.

First you get the telegraph and observer personalities to bury the hatchet. They then call the bluff of all the parties that's a start anybody else???

Hmm, not going to happen though is it.

tbh I'm not that fussed about that. If Observer want to challenge other parties, and Telegraph club, it all balances out regardless, no?

Agree with that, they don't even need to bury the hatchet just actually question and pressure people.

They were quick to do bring city home, why not save the academy?

Yep.that would work.

The only thing is the spin, and what people believe as fact. Only have to read the telegraph comments.

Everybody needs you have the same aim, no agenda.

People need to be questioned properly, none of this copy and paste stuff.

To start with focus on the future and stop digging up boring irrelevant crap from the archives.

i think this is disgusting one of the top cat 2 academies in the country being treated like this, absolutely taking the piss out of the club and the academy, if were not careful we will end up closing the academy our club produces players year in year out academy staff sweat blood and tears to get these lads up to scratch not very nice situation, wasps have no regard for anything trying to wipe the club out shocking. If we lose the academy last one out turn the lights off, thats it in a nutshell.

We have to fight for this, as one not two sides.

Think a good starting point would be firing out some questions to each group. Make them as unambiguous as possible so they can't wriggle out of answering.

Off the top of my head something like this:

CCFC
Have you requested an extension to the current deal?
If yes have you requested the extension on the same terms as the current deal?
What is the longest term you would be prepared to sign for, assuming the same terms as the current deal?

CSF
Are there any plans, either formal or informal, for the facilities required for the current standard of academy to be removed and / or replaced?
Has a longer term deal, on the same terms as the current deal, been offered to CCFC?
What is the minimum term you would require for the academy facilities to remain in place?
Are there any plans, either formal or informal, for Wasps to use the Higgs Centre and / or adjoining land as their training base?

CCC
Have any discussions, either formal or informal, taken place regarding facilities at Higgs Centre with any other group?
If yes has anything been discussed which would prevent CCFC continuing to base their academy there?
If yes has anything been discussed relating to Wasps using the Higgs Centre and / or adjoining land as their training base?

WASPS

Very good points Dave and an ideal starting point.

We have the plans, just need the site.
Again, you are going on about stuff from years ago?

It's almost as if people are rubbing their hands together at the thought of being able to froth at the club about it?

We cannot just build a new venue for an Academy, if we were to close it while we built a new one we lose the the whole thing, you cannot just start up again a few years. In July next year we lose the Academy forever as there is no other venue in the area that has the required facilities to move to.

Why don't CCFC management state outright what they want.
If they say we want to commit to the centre for 10 years and the plans still carry on, we should take to the streets.
CCFC commitment to a deal is silent and I would what the reality is on this ?
Haven't they said they are trying to get a long term deal but aren't getting anywhere with higgs?

Anderson has said they want to stay? What more do you want? It's quite clear they are not building a new academy. Struggling to build a stadium. Struggled to find land. CSF need to indicate whether they can accomodate the academy beyond next year. If so, at what expense? If they can't, why not? At the present time from the information we have, CSF are the people who need to be a bit clearer.

He wants to stay but what commitment can he give that helps the centre plan the future?
