Trying to watch ‘as live’ after a game (1 Viewer)

I’m flying off on holiday at 15.10 on Saturday so am going to miss the match on iFollow. Has anyone watched a game on iFollow after the live without finding out the score and if so what’s the best way to do it please? Thought about giving my phone to my wife and seeing if she can navigate the official without showing me the score. Got a couple of hours in Doha so ideally would watch it then. First-world problems, I know.

Enjoy the match to the thousands going to Ewood. I was last there in for the 2-1 loss in November 1993 - I’ve read the other thread about being cold at games and this is right up there.

On my iFollow app, I just stumbled across a "Hide Scores" option under Preferences in the setting menu. Hope this helps. I have set it on now just in case I have the same issue as you in future.

I’ll never understand how people can not want to know the score live. It would drive me mad.
I think if you plan on watching a match later, it would be a real spoiler if you knew the score.

Do fans remember our FA Cup semi-final v Leeds when tv coverage had to be later than the live game something to do with the Sunday Obserance Act. So there was this bazaar situation of the fans at the game knowing we were off to Wembley while many here at Cov didn’t.

Yes about half an hour delay, people were listening on the radio live but watching the TV behind, crazy!

Can you watch games retrospectively on Ifollow?
Yes, you can watch them later. Our debacle at Luton is still available for those who want to see a horror flick.

They do the full match on ifollow but dont think it's available til next morning. I've tried it before once and it's hard to avoid

It never works in my experience. My advice would be to just embrace it, find out the score, and enjoy watching it afterwards.

Pretty sure they have the match re-runs. I’ll drop the EFL a line and see what they recommend.
I do this quite a bit for midweek games because the time difference for me is a pain in the arse. They upload the full match at 1am GMT the following day (so 1am Sunday morning for this game).

I hate doing it and avoiding the score is definitely the hardest part about it. Being on a plane should help!

I’m glad I didn’t dream that! I’m sure we got back to Cov just as the game finished?

Go to the “results” tab, cover the left half of the screen scroll to the date and hit (play?).
Don’t scroll down to current scores or table as they will be up to date

I had to do this for notts county away. The play off. Was part of a wedding party and the groom insisted on a pre wedding night meal so I recorded the game and told everyone to not mention the footy. Left at 11pm with my headphones in and ran home. What followed was the weirdest feeling ever!

I'd recommend staying away from any social media sites as well.
I was about to watch a recorded game once without knowing the score, and someone has posted the score on facebook, I saw the post as the teams were walking down the tunnel 🤬

I quite often watch iFollow games on a slight time delay (couple of hours) but it is tricky. If you start the stream after kick off you can scrub back to the start (best to get your wife to do this so you don’t see the score), but after a certain time (some time shortly after 5) the current match disappears off the app so if you haven’t opened it by then you’re out of luck.

Tried this last season starting around 7pm and missed the first half (I paused kick off at 3pm) but there was obviously a limit to how much they'd let you catch up by. Was the Wycombe 0-0 game so wasn't the worst for it to happen on.

Know the score - if we win watch it, if we lose get yourself down the bar.

I know you might not be able to do this, but a couple of years ago I purchased on-flight WiFi and watched our game on the plane on my phone. Depends on the airline though.

I’m on Qatar. Tried it for Rugby World Cup semi v the All Blacks and it didn’t work but might give it a spin. Cheers

Funny as I don't understand how anyone can't find a way to watch stuff unspoiled. If there is a way to watch a game as live when can't watch it live u 100% got to do it! Get same experience as watching it live rather than finding out score out of curiosity

I unfortunately managed to avoid the Luton score until the following day so I could watch the match later (well, half of it). This page has all the replays and no scores:

The scores do then show when you click in the replay, so you can have a practice in advance to find out what it looks like when you open the page, and work out where you need to cover the screen as it can differ slightly by device. But then go full screen with the video and all good.

Think it's only available the next day mind, so might not be there when you want it.

Btw I did this when on holiday and cos of time difference the wait was t too agonizing. However I think back then there was a goals icon in the bottom panel so at one point mouse moved and I know there were no more goals in the game

Think we lost 2 Nil to plymouth

Done it many, many times, but on my Virgin box when we have been away and on TV. If I am out when we are playing and I can't follow the game, I record the match, just switch everything off and then watch it after as if it is a love game.

Works fine for me. Obviously have to avoid all SM and SBT too, but it works perfectly well for me.
