Tbh Wilshire is a bit too keen on cash for us to be in the running
Joe Cole came on what was mainly a pay as you play deal as he just wanted game time - Villa had paid off his contract
I guess Wilshire is waiting for a club desperate enough to offer him a lucrative deal

Why don't they just have their own squad numbers and names on the shirts so they know they're the right size? I know some of the U23 don't officially have a number but I'm sure they've been allocated one.

I think that's exactly what they do. They all played in squad shirts last season, complete with the Championship tags on the sleeves. I know George has been allocated number 42 and has played in it since the Leamington game. Don't know if they have added the names yet but assume they will follow last years approach. When we have players from younger age groups or trialists they use one of the unallocated shirt numbers that have just the number on them.

The problem with the U23s is that the management names the team and gives the players the numbers but then they swap shirts to suit their sizes

is there a XXL in the kit bag for the fat kid that goes in goal?
