That's correct Nick. The recent dry spell gave Coventry City concerns over the pitch at Sphinx Drive although in my opinion the pitch was in decent condition. However, we agreed to switch the game to the Higgs at Coventry City's request. Clearly that would have a financial implication on Sphinx (not just gate money but bar sales etc) but Coventry City have been extremely helpful in at least enabling an admission charge to be in place tonight thanks to the use of CCFC stewards. Once the usual match expenses (officials, stewards to take admission money etc) have been paid then Sphinx will benefit from the balance of the gate receipts. Income like this is critical for a Non-League club like Sphinx so hopefully there will be a decent turnout tonight. Sphinx have some decent talent themselves so hopefully people will be surprised at the standard at our level and pay Sphinx a visit during the season.
Supposedly quite a few will startI think one or two first team lads will play to get match practice
Acadamy train tonight too, car park will be tight.Out of interest how is it going to work given that the Higgs has a public footpath?
No idea, but I'm sure that's Robert Page in the foreground.
Looks like Davies, Bayliss and Willis. Maybe Andreu in the distance?
Anyone know if that lad from Herne Bay is playing Sam McCallum. Everyone from this neck of the woods is raving about him.
Without going too overboard he ran the game when he came on at West Brom. Him and Bayliss together were a joy to watch. Some players playing catch up and Andreu is obviously a key component this season. Can't believe some fans don't have the vision to see how he will fit in.
Can't see a Japs eye thank God.I hope it’s someones head not someone’s helmet in that pic! :woot:
If we start how we finished at West Brom with him, Andreu and Alassani with Bayliss and Ogogo behind.. you won't be disappointed!Has Sterling played RB yet or always RW?
Boooo. I'm cancelling my subscription SWDidn’t bother going as assumed it’d be kids like v Copswood
He was excellent, and looked up to speed. Always trying to make something happen. Him and Bayliss should be a real threat. Some players playing catch up and Andreu is obviously a key component this season. Can't believe some fans don't have the vision to see how he will fit in.
what's your suggestion? Some players playing catch up and Andreu is obviously a key component this season. Can't believe some fans don't have the vision to see how he will fit in.
