Don't think Shaw will manage 90.Trippier can go
You mean - go with the starting line-up?After last night I don't really think you can drop any of them
Yup. Exactly the same. Not sure if there is something wrong with me but I barely celebrated that goal last night. I just punched the air and that was it.
Last minute winner to get to a euro final, I should have gone crazy, but I didn't.
And yet I remember going fucking crazy when Sturridge scored a last minute winner to beat Wales in the group stage of 2016.
I wonder if it's something to do with how city are doing at the time. Like back then we were pretty shit, so maybe I enjoyed England games more, but now we're doing well England games feel like an after thought.
Just comparing how I reacted to that goal last night and how I reacted to Wright's winner at wolves and it's night and day.
And it kind of feels like on Sunday I'll just be watching at home so I'll have a few beers through the game, and if we win I'll stay up for a bit to watch the trophy being lifted and then just go to bed and that'll be it. Feels weird!
Anyone else feel like that?
Yeah, but he didn't manage 90 last night.Don't think Shaw will manage 90.
Trippier against Yamal may work, Yamal cuts onto his left then Trippier is defending on his stronger foot.
So many assume he'll walk into a top club job. Not sure I see it myself. Maybe a 2nd level club who think he can take them up a level. If we win he'll get an offer I'm sure. Does feel a bit like he's pissed off and tired so wouldn't be surprised if he went either way.
Have questioned some of timidness this tournament but it has got us to the Final. Thought we were good tonight, bar the early mistake and a few set plays we controlled the match fully
Maybe this is why ? Maybe it's just not the same , who knowsNot sure if there is something wrong with me but I barely celebrated that goal last night. I just punched the air and that was it.

I think it’s true, personally, especially with VAR, the new rules, the amount of foreign money in the game and the weird plastic fans.Maybe this is why ? Maybe it's just not the same , who knows View attachment 36787

Let's be honest there's a lot of dull international football - tournament qualifiers often characterized by lower teams parking the bus.. Plus there seem to be so many games now.Maybe this is why ? Maybe it's just not the same , who knows View attachment 36787
Characterised by some who finished third in their group progressing to the knock out stages.Let's be honest there's a lot of dull international football - tournament qualifiers often characterized by lower teams parking the bus.. Plus there seem to be so many games now.
The best thing to come out of the tournament so far for me (say, so far, because I am obviously hoping we win on Sunday) has been Kobe Mainoo. He has been absolutely top class.
Skilful, strong and hardly ever gives the ball away.
He might well have cemented himself a place in the England starting lineup for many years to come.
Really impressed with him.
He needs to be managed carefully. My concern is that ten Haag in his desperation will play him every week and burn him out.The best thing to come out of the tournament so far for me (say, so far, because I am obviously hoping we win on Sunday) has been Kobe Mainoo. He has been absolutely top class.

He looks exhausted. If we can find a way to get the best out of Mainoo Bellingham Foden and Saka we’ll be laughing. Bellingham is the only one I don’t think we’ve seen at their best all tournament.
Ahh, the big reveal at last. Panda is actually Nick.Haven't seen much of the Yamal lad and what he's dealing with in La Liga...but I think we need to get in there early and absolutely smash him. Similar to Eric Dier vs Sergio Ramos
That was my thoughts too. Tripper has struggled in that position all tournament but he's not a bad player and being stronger on his right foot might help against Yamal. Grateful for Walker's pace against Williams on the other side too.Don't think Shaw will manage 90.

It's so tedious people online shouting "what about the WOMENS game" when people are mentioning Southgate's achievements.
It's clear that we're talking about the mens team here as it's during the mens tournament. The lionesses get celebrated when they play.
If they want to be constantly compared to the mens game it won't be a fair comparison.
That's dumb, should just make it a bank holiday. People aren't gonna wait to see the result before getting tanked up are they.Talk of a bank holiday if we win...
Such very fine margins isn't it. We were 86 seconds away from going out of the competition completely. Had that happened, that would have been humiliating and there would have been much gnashing of teeth and wailing and finger pointing at the manager, but now here we are, in a final.
We can't pretend it's been some kind of master plan to be scoring goals right at the death.
Not trying to take anything away from the achievement last night, however. Southgate still made mistakes and the subs should have been made earlier, because we were on the back foot and the Dutch looked more threatening, but we got it right in the end.
I thought Trippier was a worry in that first half too. His positioning at times was all over the place.
Very positive move from GS though to bring Shaw on at half time, so hat's off to him for that and praise too for the subs. Just wish it had been a bit earlier.
We played so much better last night, which was so nice to see and to see Foden play with freedom.
Fair bit of luck helps too. We wouldn't have complained too much had that penalty not been given and the Dutch did have a very valid point just before the winning goal, because Guehl seemed to just lose his balance and fall over and the Dutch player would have been clean through and bearing down on goal had play been allowed to continue. Luckily, we got the free kick
As I say, the margins between success and failure can be minute.
But well done to Southgate for last night. He does deserve a lot of praise for that performance and setup
I don't mind if we lose on Sunday as long as we play like that. Just don't want us to go into a shell and be too cautious again and get beaten quite easily without laying a glove.
We're in the final. Let's enjoy it and Southgate does seem such a lovely bloke, so I would like us to win it for him, because what a great legacy that would be for him and he'd be a hero wherever he went in life after.
Now I just have to hope they are showing the game on the ship I am on, on Sunday, because I am going to be on a cruise to the Norwegian fjords when it kicks off.

Williams just shouldn't be playing for Spain. It's just not right. That was my thoughts too. I’m the opposite, I need to log on and work in Berlin the day after the final…Luckily I booked Monday off a couple of months ago. Wasn't going through that again after the Italy fiasco, not knowing what to do. Ended up being able to start an hour later, but everyone was miserable anyway haha.
