I think it must be somewhat tongue in cheek.
As someone who lives in Scotland and has had conversations with nationalists I don't think for 1 second it is tongue in cheek. Some have a hatred of anything English & that paper has a very negative view on anything English.

I agree it is very anti English but fortunately has a very low readership and hardly any digital subscribers.

Looking for pubs that'll be showing the game and would be ok for a 13 and 11 year old. Coventry, Leam or Kenilworth. My plans fell through and options near me are booked up. Thanks!

Whereabouts in cov are you looking ? Plenty of screens in the craftsman , and a really good pint in the keresley coronation club. But only one screen

Nerves in pieces today.

Feels too much like the last euros. We’re coming up against the best attacking team in the tournament that are on an incredible run of form.

At least we have finals experience this time.

Like always, as it’s the same for Cov games (people will bitch about it, I’m sure) I’ll play it cool all day and nerves will start jangling at the very last second before KO. Though that doesn’t happen if it’s just another league game.

I hope shaw is actually match fit, it’s too big a call to get wrong. Spains strong side versus what has been our weak side so far.

Appreciate the reply. Settled on Twisted Barrel. Need somewhere fairly chilled for the kids this time.

I wouldn't really say the English are the snowflakes with the behaviour of the Welsh Scottish and Irish leading upto this final

Have you ever met a more sour group of people
Yes, Sunderland fans.
They’re old sporting rivalries between neighbouring countries.

Yeah I don’t mind a bit of rivalry but I don’t go as far as actively supporting whoever our rivals are playing. Weird behaviour.

Fuck em anyway. Get it right and we can rub this in their faces for years.
