I have no faith that lessons will be learnt from this game. If anything they doubled down on their mistakes from the Serbia game. Expect Slovenia to do us at this rate.

A concerning harry kane interview where he admits England have no idea how to change it and they are playing to instructions

A lot of these players simply aren’t as good as people think they are. On technical ability levels it’s crazy how far behind the likes of Germany, Spain, Italy, France we are. It’s the basic shit like not being able to play a 5 yard pass quickly, not being able to turn on the first touch, not being able to play comfortably play pass from difficult balls. Just an unbelievably bad performance.

Southgate has to go as soon as this tournament is over. Tactically he’s got it completely wrong. The Trent experiment is embarrassing.

Its easy for Foden to look good when he's surrounded by De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva, Erling Haaland etc.

Same with Walker and Stones, you look class at the back when you defend for 10 minutes out of 90

Saka and Rice again, Odegaard, Martinelli, with Saliba and Gabriel solid behind them allowing them to do what they do..

I've seen some call this a 'golden generation' it's absolutely not a patch on what was a golden generation for us between 2004 and 2006

Kane
Gordon Foden Saka
Bellingham Rice

Stop this Trent nonsense in midfield. Get Foden back in the 10. Bellingham back with Rice because yes he’s good further up but that’s for Madrid, not England. And get Gordon in ffs, let him play whilst he still runs at people and runs in behind…before that’s coached out of him.

I honestly think we could give England a game and not only that I bet we could do them, they cant cope under pressure, they’d sit off us letting us do what we want with the ball

That point on Foden is utter nonsense.

He's been player of the season for them, and not had De Bruyne for the majority and Haaland injured in the middle when Foden was really shining.

He played well. He made one really bad mistake and made up for it, by getting the tackle in and saving himself.

I think people are parroting each others because they agree.

He had a decent game.

Don't agree. He wasn't stand out in a team full of shit at all. They were all unworthy of credit, no exceptions. Some things just become fashionable.

Nah, I disagree.

Bellingham, Foden, Rice, Saka, etc etc are incredible players and unbelievably good technically.

And look at our youth teams winning loads of tournaments.

It's not a technique thing, they are just being managed appallingly.

We have some very good players , we can't just say it's the english players that are being carried in these teams , that's not the case .. we've just seen harry kane say that they didn't know who was supposed to press suggesting these players are being mismanaged at international level ..

The reason they are good at their clubs is they are being coached and managed properly

It'll never happen but next game I would go

Pickford

Walker
Stones
Guehi
Trippier

Rice
Wharton

Palmer
Foden
Gordon

Watkins

The Trent experiment has to be over. Bellingham looks like he needs a rest. Foden gets a go at 10. Kane despite the goal isn't suiting how we want to play.

I would rest Kane and Bellingham for the next game. Kane, because it just doesn't seem to be working, despite the goal and Bellingham, because I think he does simply need the rest.

Southgate at the pinnacle of his England career is so out his depth it’s laughable. Kane out Toney in, Trent out palmer in. Bellingham alongside Gallagher over rice and foden free role with palmer. Southgate is the biggest loser I’ve ever seen in my life.

Normally this gets pinned on the English football calendar, but even Kane who plays in a 34 game league with a winter break looked like he was running through treacle.

Coming back from injury to be fair. Doesn’t look match fit to me

ps read an interesting article that he sacrificed himself Sunday, stayed further up the pitch which meant he barely touched the ball but it gave midfielders more space to run into…not sure why that changed today

Southgate at fault for tactics and setup. Not playing as a team and no cohesion. Down to manager.
But poor passes, walking not running, wandering out of position…down to individual players
