Had an argument with a chap standing next to me on the kop once. (well maybe more than once) This particular time he was spouting off how Stuart Pearce was quality. When he predicted he would play for England one day I just laughed in his face about his pathetic knowledge of the game........

I was also a Julian Darby fan, a long way down our best midfielders list but we have had far worse and he didn't really cost anything. Perhaps wasnt the most robust, but always seemed to put the effort in.
I remember one game where a fan typically was having ago at him. Another fan turned round a few rows down and said, "he's having a great game mate you've just got the wrong point of view. He is doing some great work, it must be that pillar you are sat behind its blocking your view."
