It is heart breaking to look at those figures, and also to see the comments on this forum generally. Everyone is at each other's throats whatever their opinion, and if we continue a slide I can actually see some trouble between our fans at a future away game.
This is the lowest point in our history, the period under SISU's ownership has been a total car crash. I can only see it getting worse as time goes by, I've sat here listening to the game on the radio tonight which is something I never thought I'd do, I dread to think what it's doing to our fan base long term.
Yes all parties have made mistakes we know that, but as much as some people are being accused of "enjoying" defeat, others seem to be almost glad we're at Northampton and not at the Ricoh, which I just find utterly bemusing.
The whole thing is totally depressing, and I just can't see how it's going to end......
That's handy jack.
Just to be aware this was not what I posted. My post was significantly harsher in my critiscm of a poster who seems, in my view, to be gloating in our defeat.
My post was altered by a moderator. I will now PM said moderator every time I see similar language used and will expect similar editing to take place.
Was it any more ofensive than other people's remarks to the likes of me, Torch etc. on here? That I doubt very much. There are far more offensive posts made than that.
The moderator in question by his own admission does not attend matches, does not ever comment on football matters, claims to have a degree in Media Law, claims to have supported the club for over 40 years yet seems to struggle to name any players or matches with any conviction and strangley seems to post mostly to attempt to justify the coucil and ACL's stance in the current dispute.
I hardly consider him fit for purpose as a moderator. Just my opinion. No doubt this will also be edited.

i think you've misunderstood the OP. its not about loosing games, its about the shitty situation our wonderful owners have put us in. i struggle to see how anyone is gloating.
I can see why people are interested as to why you posted this after we lost 3-0, jack.
Probably a good thing Anne and Joy hadnt done a deal. Imagine the fuss if we had played our last two games at the Ricoh and got tanked.
So with the wheels coming off at Fortress Sixfields do people think the lack of support/atmosphere has finally got to our players and they might be getting a bit fed up playing in front of one man and his dog?

It isn't jus the owners.....our 'beloved' council need to shoulder some of the blame...
Some fans seem to love losing so they can gloat?
genius
I do not have a degree in media law and have never claimed to do so, I took a media law module on my degree. I have never claimed to support the club for over forty years and that would be difficult as I'm only just approaching forty myself.
Nice of you to post the facts
why do all the nobheads comment on other irrelevant issues
People are right to complain about the crowds when the club lose. The SISU apologists and those too blinkered with piousness to understand the bigger picture will say it's due to fans 'wanting' the club to lose, which is frankly ridiculous; it's FFP frustration.
If we fail to get promoted, these lamentably poor crowds will leave us hamstrung for many seasons by virtue of the FFP percentage of turnover calculation. Our crowds are the lowest in the league, therefore our wage cap will be the lowest in the league, and I'm afraid therefore to say that we are statistically most likely to be relagated yet again:
http://espnfc.com/stats/attendance/_/league/eng.3/english-league-one?cc=5739
If we got promoted this year and got to the championship, FFP rules work differently, as the cap is based on losses, not turnover. Therefore,we could 'work around' this year's terrible turnover by mitigating losses.
So, if we're not winning, the gates and therefore turnover become critical; as it could almost certainly result in us being relegated to the 4th tier.
Still, I'm sure that the above isn't relevant at all, and it's just us spiteful 'fans' LOVING the club losing; whilst the 'real fans' just want to 'support the lads'...... :thinking about:
What we looking at then figure wise? Club turnover can't be anymore than £1m this season. So only £600k for players wages, over the course of a season that works out at about £500 per week per player (based on a squad of 22)!
I know youth players don't count, so in reality it will be nearer £1k a week for seniors, but it still highlights the situation the club is facing.

The man quoted some attendance figures!
Are you deliberately divisive or what?
