Without western support the whole thing would have been over months ago. It’s naive to think otherwise. However, considering our very own general claimed that even Ireland could defeat Russia, things must be going very badly for Ukraine.
He’s told he’s us on the frontline in Canada, so he obviously knows what he’s on about.I'm sure he was being deadly serious when he said Ireland could defeat Russia.
I have answered, it's not my fault if you choose to ignore it or if you don't understand the word progress.
And as for how many years it will take to get to the border, you do realise its not a case of 'well they are progressing by Xkm a day, so it will take Y days to take the remaining XYkm to get to the border'. Even you aren't that simple. Or are you?
Interesting article on Ukraine's drone strikes in Russia (and ties in with what I was saying about Ukraine hitting different targets while they scale back on the counter offensive temporarily) :
Ukraine’s drone army is bringing Putin’s invasion home to Russia
Ukraine's increasingly formidable drone army is enabling Kyiv to bring Vladimir Putin's invasion home to Russia and strike strategic targets throughout the Russian Federation, writes Mykola Bielieskov.www.atlanticcouncil.org
I'm sure he was being deadly serious when he said Ireland could defeat Russia.
I do wonder if your objection to the word retard is it was your nickname at school.
So from your expert analysis what is your interpretation of your own link - I mean surely you have a view on it?
I’m surprised Russia haven’t crumbled to defeat and I’m sure if Mr Putin sees this it’s a game changer
No my objection to that word is that it's offensive.
And I've given my view you tedious bore.
Thick c**t.
You haven’t as your never have a view or opinion - I’ve asked 5 times now for your interpretation of your own link and a view.
You offer nothing to this discussion
All my opinions are wrong but I never have an opinion
That's like USA want Ukraine wiped off the map but also want to arm them and weaken Russia
It would be far from over. It would just have been a different type of war. A guerrilla war of resistance. Longer and bloodier. Ukraine is a nation that was never going to bend from day one and that was evident on day one when house wives were confronting Russian soldiers in the streets, telling them to go home to their mothers, there’s only death for you here, putting seeds in their pockets telling them that it’s so flowers will grow from their corpse. Whole communities coming together to make Molotov cocktails on an industrial scale. Ukrainian men in their 50’s and 60’s who served in the army of the Soviet Union volunteering to join the Ukrainian army to fight their former comrades. Hordes and hordes of young Ukrainians living and working in other European countries rushing back to Ukraine to fight Russians once they’d emptied every army surplus store on the journey. I think you’ve forgotten the early days and weeks of the invasion. No one was rolling over to get their tummies tickled, no one was cheering them on the road to Kyiv throwing flowers at the feet of Russian soldiers.Without western support the whole thing would have been over months ago. It’s naive to think otherwise. However, considering our very own general claimed that even Ireland could defeat Russia, things must be going very badly for Ukraine.
You have to wonder how much money has ended up in the hands of these lot - Commentary: Ukraine’s neo-Nazi problem - no doubt the ‘goodie’ type of nazi.

Why didn’t this happen when Russia annexed Crimea Tony?
Ukraine's army was tiny in 2014, with little equipment, no training, rampant corruption.
A smaller version of Russia's army basically.
Are you Tony?

Do you know what would have prevented the loss of life the most? Russia not invading Ukraine. So what you are basically saying is that a marginal move forward is progress. It’s interesting loss of life means nothing in your chocolate box world of progress but that withstanding I assume you will comment on the actual link I made?
What does that copy and paste non linked opinion really scream out to you in the actual real world of war?
But...but...isn't that what the US wants according to you? Long, protracted and expensive. So why would that weaken Western support? Here is an interesting snippet from today
"Despite nine months of bloody fighting, less than 500 square miles of territory have changed hands since the start of the year. A prolonged stalemate could weaken Western support for Ukraine."
It is Schrodinger's USA. Simultaneously wanting Ukraine off the map but also keen to keep it supplied with arms and materiel as a double bluff against the other nation that also wants it off the map.But...but...isn't that what the US wants according to you? Long, protracted and expensive. So why would that weaken Western support?
Because the west is more than just the USA?But...but...isn't that what the US wants according to you? Long, protracted and expensive. So why would that weaken Western support?
That doesn't sound like romanticised propaganda at all to me TonyIt would be far from over. It would just have been a different type of war. A guerrilla war of resistance. Longer and bloodier. Now plot Zelensky’s personal wealth against number of Ukrainian casualties over the last 24 monthsFound this interesting academic study earlier, seems to be some real correlation

Quick question for you. How long did the Irish fight the British for their own sovereignty before leading to the creation of the Irish Free State in 1922?
I’ll give you a clue. Wolfe Tone died in 1798.
The Ukrainians like the Irish are fighting for essentially the same cause, sovereignty from a neighbouring country. Second question. Given the determination of the Ukrainians from day one why do you seem to suppose that they would do anything other than fight and continue to fight even if Kyiv fell?
The quickest way to bring this to a close is by supporting Ukraine.
They did have support form America, Libya and a few others.Went did you go to Ukraine?
Are you saying that the IRA should have had international support?
Things are going exactly as the US planned.Without western support the whole thing would have been over months ago. It’s naive to think otherwise. However, considering our very own general claimed that even Ireland could defeat Russia, things must be going very badly for Ukraine.
100% wrongThe quickest way to bring this to a close is by supporting Ukraine.
100% wrong
