You changing your prediction of 2 weeks ago of relegation and relegation dog fight.?
Considering we could see the owners sell key players in Jan and the ongoing stadium saga, I’d be more than happy with survival.

Selling and then buying in Jan would hardly be ideal - teams would know we’d have some money and desperate!

True, I’d just like to split the inevitable rebuild over two windows. And really we do need some fresh blood

Are you still concerned or were you just attention seeking.

If people are not concerned by our overall situation I’d question if they support the club

Being older I tend to be a lot calmer than most on here and remember some of the scrapes we got out of in the premier league. In 1985 we needed to win our last 3 games to survive last 1 being against the Champions of that year Everton, we won the first 2 come to Everton they must have been on some distant shore. We won 4-1 never in doubt but on here we have people talking about relegation when there are still 108 points for us to play for. After 12 games last year Notts. Forest were 1 point better off than we are now having played 6 home 6 away .We have played only 4 at home and 8 away. Where is the belief of all the pessimists on here.

It’s worth noting that one poster on here on this thread thinks Dabo and hamer have a combined value of £25m to be fair if we can sell them in January I agree there are no worries

Obviously where we are in the table is a concern and we needed to go back to basics to stop conceding goals. Robins doesn’t get enough credit for his ability to adapt to the situations we find ourselves in.
Results are now more positive and I think we will finish mid-table, however keeping our best players is the key to this

That’s basically saying Hamer is worth £24.5m…

I am just realistic about expectations
Apart from 2 or 3 clubs in the country fans typically want more from their team
I have supported Cov over 50 years and follow "good and bad times" but always remain realistic about our position in the football ladder. Yes, of course, I would like to see us back in the PL but unless some mad billionaire buys us that will not happen
The club is on an "upward curve" in my opinion and the Wasps situation creates an opportunity for SISU to sell up or purchase the CBS.
I always remain positive about the club, management and players and wish them the best.

As I said on the where will we finish thread, it was only October then and it's still only October now. Any notion we are going to be relegated when it is so early in a 46 game season , and we have only played 13 games, I do find a little daft.

Fine to be concerned, but quite a few were saying we WILL be relegated.

Let's see where we are in January and what we do in January. Will give a much clearer indication..

I think that the turnaround and the way Robins and the staff have totally turned this around , and our current form is pretty tremendous and is testament to his versatility as a manager , which some fans never believed he had
Still want to know what brought about his two game radicalism when it came to subs, mind you!

As promised il keep coming back to this every week to remind the clueless non believers.

Yes I know believe Dabo is worth £10 million, hamer £15 million, Sisu as owners have an excellent credit level rating and we are heading for an easy top half finish - I also believed we were going to win the last 6 matches last season

I’ll stand by it. At the time of the post, we massively lacked quality and fluidity other than a couple of glimpses in the games already played.

But we've still got the same players? The quality of the squad hasn't changed.

We were hamstrung at the start with the pitch situation and playing catch up with match fitness etc. Getting used to playing without our key man and also figuring out a problem like Hamer.

Some are more patient I guess than others. Not necessarily directed at you.

Yes, immense credit to Robins. He has been pragmatic in seeing us through a period when most of our best players have been unavailable. It's not been pretty but it was necessary. Just think though where we would be if we'd had Kenny Jackett.

We've had the rub of the green in last 3. How many times have sides hit the woodwork? Would still take 21st all day long

Luck definately evens itself out over a season. We hit the woodwork twice vs Preston in one half.

But to make some make ridiculous judgements after 5 games of this season which will be proven wrong. Not saying you did.

Have to say I thought we were in big trouble a few games into the season: Hamer disciplinary issues, O'Hare injury, number 1 keeper gifting goals every game, 3 loan defenders and the last minute sale of Hyam, the pitch issues and game cancellations.

If we can keep grinding out some positive results over the next 6 games and get to the world cup break somewhere near mid-table, I'd rank that a better achievement than either of the promotions or staying up in the first season back in the Championship.

We have one of these "reset to factory settings" moments nearly every season under Robins. It does help to reaffirm my faith in him.

It does remind me of the first season back in the Champ, where we were again letting in goals and reverted to grinding out results.

We've got more quality in midfield/Vik now though, so if we can combine the two, we'll be fine.

The team spirit does seem better as well - didn’t Robins allude to something being up with the squad earlier this season but it was now resolved?

I wouldn’t be surprised if it was just all the transfer chat before window closed, plus frustration about pitch
