Venus set to stay until January (2 Viewers)

We'll either sign a new manager on transfer deadline day (or very near to) who will basically be an escape goat or it will be announced that Venus will stay on until the end of the season on transfer deadline day (or very near to). Probably having sold our most promising talent on the eleventh hour of transfer deadline day with a loan back until the end of the season (because that works) and picked up a couple of free journey men that no one else wants who ultimately prove to be a waste of space.

That's my predictions anyway.

People didn't expect him to walk did they? He's a director at Otium for a reason, he fits into SISU's agenda.

No of course not but I expected him to admit he isn't up to the manager's job. I've no issue with him stopping until January as long as there are moves NOW to recruit for the New Year.

Terrible news
The standard of football since Mowbray left has been getting progressively worse , he has no ability to organise a side in my opinion.
We desperately need a manager and Jenny jackett appears the obvious choice , but this is clear scrimping by City

I can't help but feel he's been told he has to carry on to save some $$. There's no other logical explanation for such a self destructive move.

Is she the wife of Kenny Jackett?

Expect to be very disappointed then mate. We all need a reality check, why expect new players when we're not even on the search for a new manager?

It does seem like sisu/otium/ccfc are giving up at the moment. It's glaringly obvious that a new manager needs to come in now. The fact they have come out with no statement since the JR appeal is not in keeping with past behaviour either. I just wonder what is happening, all I know is that it is extremely fucking negative in every aspect at the moment. Still we're only a few weeks away from being able to acceptably get pissed in the am. So... every cloud.

This is a bizarre decision on footballing terms. MV knows he's not the right person to be manager. Given the transfer window opens in January, it would be a smart move to bring a new manager in BEFORE then, so he can assess the current squad and make informed decisions on who he'll recruit.
However, if something is "going on" in the background and someone is undertaking due diligence prior to investment. Then, it is reasonable to expect that the investor would want to make the decision over manager.
There needs to be some new leadership and decisions made about the future quickly. Otherwise, we'll be non-league for the season 2018-19

What did anyone expect. SISU pulled off the major con on ST holders in the summer AGAIN and then subsequently failed to invest wherever possible on the actual football club !
This decision is only about money, this buffoon is one of their own cunts isn't he anyway ?! They also know that if they keep him in place till February they won't have to spend anything in January ! If anyone comes in for our better players though, expect them to be sold last minute on the 31st ! It's all too familiar.

The next home game is televised and if as I expect the match goes tits up (hope I'm wrong) that'll be the time for fans to vent their anger.

Hopelessly out of his depth as a manager of a team on the pitch and equally poor and as a recruiter of players. I think we are clutching at straws expecting that something spectacular is about to happen that justifies the decision to continue with MV pending this cosmic event to happen, this is SISU they are consistent if nothing else we've been consistently falling since they've taken over don't expect anything to change. Lost our last 4 league games and humiliated in the cup, the future looks bleak.

Fucking brilliant.

Why can't he just return upstairs and let a proper League 1 manager do the job and keep us in this league.

You really have to wonder what the long-term plan / strategy is, other than "living within our means" which is actually impossible if we're going to be competitive in any division. In fact, you have to wonder if there's any at all.

It should require any time to work out that they need to get on with the job of recruiting a new manager NOW....but apparently TF and MV are content to let things carry on as they are. It just seems that they are not worried about results in the short-term.

I'm generally an optimist on all things sky blue but I'm starting to think that unless something radical happens we are gonna go down.

The only plan they have is to exit CCFC with the least amount of financial damage and their hedge fund credibility still intact....................oh you meant on the pitch ?? Forget it !

It's actually giving me a little hope. Maybe we are much nearer the end than we realise. I'd take another relegation at this point if I knew we were getting rid of SISU at the end of the season.

Dream on. I remember people saying the same thing when we were in the championship. They also said they wanted us to go into administration as it would get rid of SISU. Now they say relegation to L2 will get rid of them.

The frighting thing about this is even if a new manager is brought in he may arrive too late to effect the transfer decisions.
It opens at midnight on Sunday January 1st, 2017. It closes on Tuesday, January 31st, usually at midnight.
