Villa sing that, hate itIn honour of the disagreement with hitherto song choices, I have made a song about making a song for Torp.
To the tune of Ghost Riders in the Sky
Victor Torp went to the CBS one dark and windy day
At the Sky Blue Tavern he rested as he went along his way
When all at once a mighty gang of red eyed SBT members he saw
A ploughing through the ragged skies and up a cloudy draw
Their typing fingers were still on fire and their tin foil helmets looked like steel
They were still arguing with slowpoke
Who said that at 40mil Udogie was a steal
A bolt of fear went through him as he heard the first words of his new song
He saw the SBT cogs turning hard, and new it was so wrong.
Yippie-i-ay Yippie-i-oh
Ghost SBT fans in the sky
Yippie-i-ay (Yippie-i-ay)
Yippie-i-oh (Yippie-i-oh)
Ghost SBT fans the sky
Their faces gaunt, their eyes were blurred, their DHgate shirts all soaked with sweat
They're thinkin hard to write that song but they ain't penned it yet
'Cause they've got to argue forever in the forum up in the sky
With laptops spewing fire. As they type hard, hear them cry
Yippie-i-ay Yippie-i-oh
Ghost SBT fans in the sky (in the sky)
Having slept on it, and in the cold light of day, I've changed my mind. He's composed on the ball, his technique is great and you can tell he's going to fit into our style. A bit rusty but that was to be expected, when he's up to speed he'll be brilliant. Yet to be won over by his song though.
I don't think anybody has said otherwiseDecent debut against a poor team. Great strike for his goal.
Hate to be a killjoy but plenty of work still needed.
He went straight to Palmer too. Feels like he's already building a rapport with the squad. What I liked is considering he's new, how mad the other players went when he scored it.
Fucking awful, but at least it wasn't baby shark.Having slept on it, and in the cold light of day, I've changed my mind.
It's absolutely wank.
Agreed, and top marks to the scouting team for picking out someone we'd not heard much about, who looks like he could be an answer to the gap left by Gus.I think we can see the qualities Torp will bring, for someone that hasn't played English Football and whose last game was about 30 days ago, Torp showed real calmness on and off the ball, there was no nerves and he looked a player that was sure of himself. He started relatively slow and it's understandable for a player debuting in English football and not being 100% match fit.
The thing that stood out for me regarding Torp was his technique, even on that brief performance tonight when you compare him to the midfielders playing for Sheffield Wednesday, he looked a step above them and they are all Championship midfielders with bags of experience. I feel we have a real talent on our hands.
Thought he'd got a lot of Sheaf's qualities in terms of composure on the ball. Different style to Hamer, but seems a good replacement based on the one performance.Agreed, and top marks to the scouting team for picking out someone we'd not heard much about, who looks like he could be an answer to the gap left by Gus.
No problem at all mate, same to youFucking awful, but at least it wasn't baby shark.
Also, thanks for sorting me with a ticket. Was nice to meet you.
Has Collins got a song?Would love to know why some players get a song day one and others wait years.
I really like this songGold by Spandau Ballet
I like what I have seen so far! Needs to get up to speed of championship play I will be interested to see how he is when we play a proper championship club. I think he will become our main corner taker as well
They will rotate and it’s great to have the option to do so.Think that’s a given to be honest, and probably one of the attribute factors we signed him for. In the warm up v Wednesday for the league game he was practicing free kicks and each time applied the “Ronaldo dip”. Can see he’s a specialist and I suspect will battle it out with MVE for free kick duties too.
He looks the part and I imagine will be a starter in a few games. Harsh on Eccles who has been excellent this season.
Fucking awful, but at least it wasn't baby shark. .
I think it's the same lyrics which just makes it odd. Arsenal do it with zinchenkoFine with the Gold song, clear and easy not like that Tatsu mumblefest.
What are the exact lyrics other than changing Gold to Torp ()
Oh Victor Victor...You can’t go wrong with “son of my father”
if it was good enough for Tommy Hutchison then it’s good enough for any number of players.
Time to resurrect some old classics....
Like this one... scary from the "LA Riot Squad"! ......Fucking awful, but at least it wasn't baby shark.
Like this one... scary from the "LA Riot Squad"! ......
To the tune of lord of the dance
Torp, Torp, plays for the city
They make lego in his home country
Doug signed him from a club in Norway
And he'll lead us all to the prem one day
