People constantly criticising his stamina. He's still quite new to English football, he missed most of pre-season with an injury, and hasn't had a decent run of games yet. Far too soon to assume he can't be a contributor over 90 minutes.

I hope you're right because I still think stamina is an issue but it's clear he's got a lot to offer.

Now imagine Torp with Frank Lampard with his arms around him...

Torp is capable of scoring a lot of goals in the right system. Strikes the ball better than any Cov player for a long time.
I expected us to play a lot more that way, balls into late arriving midfielders but we haven't, though you might argue that Rudoni scored such a goal at the weekend

Rudi is certainly capable of scoring goals.

A new manager needs to play to our strengths and that is simply attacking and scoring goals.

Sheaf's defensive output way down. Very surprised by Torp's defensive output.

Eccles showing himself as one of the best midfielders in the league (League Two apparently).

Also Browne shows as very poor in that chart, despite the meltdown over him not signing.

No shit on the last point. I’m glad we didn’t sign and he hasn’t started life at Sunderland particularly well. We should be aiming for better.

Browne is absolutely no better than what we have and would have been a waste of a signing, people only wanted him because of his age!

Reread the Viveash article that talks about Torpand says he's specifically an 8 and not 6 or 10. Play him in his best position and get the best out of him or is that too simple?

Well yeah. Same with Rudoni who's not really a 10 either.

Keep putting Torp on as a 6 in CDM and he's different to when he has more of a free reign.

Thought he was great again today. Think he’s more talented than Sheaf, a much more natural all rounder.
Played well today, I'd of preferred it if him and Bassette were kept on.

He looks far better in a more attacking roll, and I think he could be even better if someone like FL can coach him and give him a run of games in his best position.

The same could be said for EMC who has a chance to impress on the left now that Wright is out for a bit.

Playing in his actual position. He's great.
He looks to be a good reader of the game and in my view would make a great captain. Love Sheaf but as captain he’s missing on the pitch.

Obviously don’t know about his fitness but I thought taking him off was a mistake yesterday. I’d have probably taken Rudoni off ahead of him if we wanted to change the system.

In my humble opinion, the most sophisticated player in the squad, reads the game ahead of everyone and has the skills to execute the killer pass / shot. Needs to be given a run of games in his natural position, will feed the strikers and score lots of goals, really good signing with the best yet to come.
