Just got booked for a bit of a late one. Is it bad I was more worried about him getting injured than the bloke he poleaxed 😂
Poor fella, right in his market stalls 👀

On 85 mins, a mazy Vik run wins a freekick just outside the D of the box and then gets subbed. Sweden score direct from the freekick. 4-0

And as he goes off, he gets a hug from Sweden's coach.

Seems like Sweden played more to Vik's strengths tonight compared to last week. Okay, its only Azerbaijan but he was far more involved.

When you think Shane Long got away in the prem for so many years based on the fact he worked hard, Vik has a good chance of moving soon

Is he genuinely worth less than isak?
From what I've seen when they've been on the same pitch vs the same opposition Vic has been better (only 3 or 4 games admittedly) so on that you'd say no. I'm personally not convinced by Isak in general tho he has looked decent for Newcastle and I think he did get 20+ in the season before last in Spain which is top League... 60M is over the odds tho IMO for Isak (or anyone really) but it's not his fault Newcastle are awash with oil money and can afford the risk

Got all summer to be pessimistic Pete. Playoff fever will get him to sign a new deal with a £30m release clause.
I think he’ll go but best players in the championship , full international that scores goals and performs game after game. That player doesn’t leave for peanuts. I’m feeling £25m is too low

Be great if we do the unthinkable

Not sure scoring against azerbaijan is going to raise gyokeres fee up much more to be honest. If it was against a top ranked nation then yes i'd agree it would only help increase his value but scoring against the level of Hartlepool wont turn to many heads.

That said, he'll be gone in the summer i'm pretty sure.... how much we get for him... depends if a bidding war starts.

Some of the average players in the premier league that he’s better than ie those two at Southampton Adams and Armstrong.
Solanke at Bournemouth.
Gotta be at least 30-35m now imo.

I agree on both points. We must face it Vik will go, and there is nothing MR or anyone can try to do, his focus will be to get a big money move… (unless the unthinkable).
£20m is too low, I am sure we could get more if we are brave…

The number of clubs actively watching Vik with a view to making a bid is bound to increase any sale. The list of clubs scouts attending our games is testament to the quality of some of the players in the current squad.
Obviously, the PL clubs are regularly cited, but I wouldn't be surprised if he moved to the Bundesliga .....Bayern need a centre forward?
