It's hard not to imagine what might have been if we'd gone up.He has, but he was turning into an unplayable monster with us the last season.
Although I remember the Barnsley away last minute penalty which was shocking
Surely any club would be after " world class " Antony " lolI can't see Vik moving until next summer, due to CL.
As for the prospect of him joining MU, then that would depend on United offloading a load of rubbish forwards first. I can't see too many clubs being interested in a number of players on £200k a week, unless MU decide to finance 50%+ of the players weekly wage?
In terms of other clubs, then the prospects of Haaland wanting a move to Spain could open up the chance of a MC move. As for others, I'm not sure he's a good fit of Arsenals team, but would thrive at Liverpool.
As for the level of sell on fee, then other bids may not be successful....as we found out with Vik and his agent insisting on the Sporting move.
Christ the keepers positioning
Oh yes just noticed that .Christ the keepers positioning
£20mil

Just having Gyokeres is a good start isn't it. Then you have Hamer of course. Sheaf would have been OK.We’d be a PL team today, I’m convinced.
I’m confident he’d have given us one seasonIt's hard not to imagine what might have been if we'd gone up.
Wright 100%; it was said after he signed that he was invited over for the play-off final, so would have been brought in regardless.Just having Gyokeres is a good start isn't it. Then you have Hamer of course. Sheaf would have been OK.
Wonder who we'd have still signed from the Championship recruitment list? I reckon MVE and Wright and they'd have been ok too.
That as a starting point plus the many millions more we'd have certainly spent, I reckon we'd have stayed up too.
Wonder why it took so long then. Maybe a matter of funding since we had to replace the prem money with vik.Wright 100%; it was said after he signed that he was invited over for the play-off final, so would have been brought in regardless.
We could have afforded to forgo the fee from Sporting and make him see out his last yearHe would still have left if we got promoted. His agent wanted him in a weak top division to artificially boost his value and profile. Playing in a bottom 3-5 PL club doesn’t do that.
Sheffield United lost Ndiaye when they went up
There's not a chance King would've done thatWe could have afforded to forgo the fee from Sporting and make him see out his last year
In what world do we forgo £20 m+, risk keeping a pissed off player for the sake of 1 season? We could have afforded to forgo the fee from Sporting and make him see out his last year

He was a gonna if he wouldn't sign a new deal.
As mentioned above his agent has played a blinder with the move to Sporting. bigger profile, fill his boots against shite opposition but still get a run out in Europe.
Points deductions for Everton and Forest, Vik leading the line, the fans getting to embrace underdog status again…we’d have had a chance for sure.Just having Gyokeres is a good start isn't it. Then you have Hamer of course. Sheaf would have been OK.

Prem players are even bigger divas so probably notDo we reckon Viveash would still be here in this alternate reality?
keeping Vik wouldnt have saved us in the prem and we'd have still got the parachute payments regardless.“1 season” that’s worth £100m

Actually just occurred to me, I bet the season we finally go up is the one they change parachute payments.
missed them in 2001 and now they are talking of major reform
Prem players are even bigger divas so probably not
Really not sure, Think we would have given it a good go but the gap is huge.Nah we’d have stayed up.
my thoughts exactly
I’d still be very surprised if he followed Amorim there.Amorim confirmed as new Manchester United manager and set to take up the post on 11th November.
It will be interesting to see what where when Vik's career goes in the January transfer window now.
I take your point BSB but ultimately Vik will want to test himself and see whether he can do it in one of the biggest leagues in the world.I’d still be very surprised if he followed Amorim there.

I can't see many clubs in this country who'd pay for his services apart from the Manchester United Muppets.
He’ll have competition with Højlund and Zirkzee when he’ll want to be the main man. Still think he is what Arsenal need but they clearly aren’t interestedI take your point BSB but ultimately Vik will want to test himself and see whether he can do it in one of the biggest leagues in the world.

City won’t be either. Yet he gave us a season to get in the Prem before he left.United will be the least attractive option he has. Sporting will accept less than his release fee. European clubs will be falling over themselves to sign him.
United won't be in the CL again. Next to no chance of winning a title any time soon. Laughing stock of English football. Known player, especially striker, graveyard. Surely him and his agent are wanting better than that.
The only way he goes to United is for money.

I’d be amazed if Vik doesn’t end up at United. He’s in a total different league to their current options and clearly close with Amorim
