'The Town Wall' for a traditionally old pub!! Well it was till they did it up, but still has a sense of tradition about it.Yup .. arrive Thursday night and staying at a Pub south of town. Plan to do a quick walk around town before the match so I'm sure we can find a decent pub downtown before getting a taxi to the match. Any recommendation welcome/appreciated.

It's a motley crew with origins in Mexico, Puerto Rico and Venezuela but we all met through our kids football teams.. a mix of dads and coaches. We committed a couple of years ago to make a trip to England watch some Football & Rugby matches and we finally got it sorted with a packed schedule of matches and driving!
It's at the back of the Belgrade Theatre...thanks.
South Americans/Coventry - travelling around football grounds - it might be because I'm watching Ozarks on Netflix, but if this isn't a Mexican drugs cartel expanding their territory, I'm Donald Trump's love child (y'all). P.S. Enjoy your time over here!
You should. He deserves it.I've got a mate who moved to Texas last year from down this way on the South Coast. I've noticed that he's started using 'y'all' on posts to his new American acquaintances.
Makes me wanna e-punch him.
Thanks. If any one wants to meet up for a pre-match pint.. drop me a note.Drink in the City centre near the cathedral. It's very nice around there.
Couple of good pubs in city centre, called the yard, and glamourus, they will make you feel most welcome
not really.. although we do take the kids teams to matches pretty often and Dynamo will give out discounted tickets to the local youth teams to fill the stadium.Dynamo fans ?
yep.. pretty sure that's where they filmed the Coventry version of Broke Back Mountain.. but you'll know better than I.Couple of good pubs in city centre, called the yard, and glamourus, they will make you feel most welcome
A group of four of us from Houston, Texas is coming to the Cov City v Peterborough Friday night match on Nov 23rd. First time in Coventry and first time at the Ricoh so seeking ideas on local watering holes to meet-up pre/post match.
Foleshill Gas club is a decent place. You may have to pay a pound to get in though.
That looks pretty close to the Stadium. Great. ThanksFoleshill Gas club is a decent place. You may have to pay a pound to get in though.

Is this you and the boys?
I'm guessing the weather will be shite..but a change is as good as a rest as the saying goes.. still 84 F here in Houston today!A great trip with some good fixtures in there. Texas you say? Has anyone told you what the weather will be like here in late November?!
I recently bumped into an American chap outside a bar in Amsterdam who has slagging off Coventry much to my humour.
Is this a complete coincidence or is this you? The chap said he was going there to visit a friend.
Either it's a small world or everyone just slags Coventry off wherever you go. Either is believable!
Just west of 610 Loop in the Memorial Villages area.Where in the Houston area are you based?
Some great fixtures there - apart from the obvious
Our budget wouldn't stretch to a CL match that night.. so beggars can't be choosers..Yep Leeds v Reading. The place is a shit hole and Reading have an overpaid striker that is a bench warmer

2018 and we still have adults making jokes about gay bars...
