If you want a real pub before the game head to the wheatsheef, only place to experience proper Coventry before a game!
toilets are pretty bad however
And here's me thinking "shite" was a word only the Brits use.I'm guessing the weather will be shite..but a change is as good as a rest as the saying goes.. still 84 F here in Houston today!
No no...100% sure.Calling absolute bullshit on that one, Sir.
I think we should create a Jeremy Konko song - just a one off for the evening.
To my old man's a dustman
'Konko comes from Houston
Wears a Stetson on his head
He fronts a Mexican drugs cartel
And if you cross him then you're dead
Have you ever thought about having your own tv show Jeremy, you could be like a moral guardian, helping disgruntled people with bad teeth to come to some sort of amicable solution to their troubles.
Get yourself to the Kasbah afterwards and you might even bump into a couple of the team.
I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for the Jeremy Konko show.
A well earned break then, not sure how old you all are but perhaps the Kasbah might be a bit "young" for youThanks for the advice. Kasbah post match sounds good. Youth Football in the US is a "pay-to-play" club system costing between $1500 - $2500 a year for each 7yo -17yo. The guys I'm traveling with work very hard and volunteer to coach a bunch of kids who don't have the money to pay to participate in the "club" system. I put this trip together as a reward for their efforts.
I'm a bit too old for it too but the kids seem to like itI worked in Hillfields for years. A bit too long in the tooth for the Kasbah - is it ok, really? Last time I drove by (last month) I couldn't get past as the police had taped the area off when that guy in his 50s had been stabbed in the head - although nothing to do with the Kasbah (just saying!)
Thanks.. we've got a bit an age range with the youngest 29yo.. but you may be right!! However, we're not quite "pipe and slippers" yet..A well earned break then, not sure how old you all are but perhaps the Kasbah might be a bit "young" for you
I've got a feeling that our first stop in Coventry may be the most fun of the trip. If you see four "knobheads" that look out of place .. that's probably me, Rafa, Roman or Farley. Please say hello and let us at least buy you a beer! I appreciate the help and advice ( even Rumpo!!)
Just west of 610 Loop in the Memorial Villages area.
That's too bad.. but you're headed the right direction weatherwise!I lived in the Woodlands for several years. I would have met up with you guys but unfortunately I'll be in Florida! Have a great experience and enjoy the soccer!

I hope you've bought a seat for each arse cheek and please keep the hollering and yeehaws to a minimum.
3 of us should be ok with the single seat.. However, Rafa "Big Papi" Ortiz may be getting cozy with his neighbour. :emoji_open_mouth:
Can we assume that when we score you'll be the only 4 going mental?Away end
Hope it doesn't rain you'll get set down there.East Stand Block 20 Row B
