It was claimed on here and that he’d be the natural successor to MR. Fortunately, neither of them are likely to happen.Did I imagine somebody said it was already arranged Doyle would come back at some point after getting some experience? It was a while ago and may have just been a random prediction!
Yes - you'll note I changed 'fanciful' to 'unsupported' while you were writing your reply as it wasn't quite the right word. But you're working back from the conclusion it is her fault because ~ why? Is that more feasible than him falling out with Robins or the players, Doug, Dean Austin? No one has said that…..
Is it really that fanciful that she may have said to Mark and Doug that she finds Adi less open to her methods than is ideal, or that players have talked to her about the challenges they have with Adi and his style. IF she has positioned Adi as a barrier to future modernisation of the club then she won’t have made the decision but she will have materially influenced it ….
It might be that Robins spoke to Adi about his style and Adi made it clear that he wasn’t open to materially altering it ….

You expressed agreement with a comment that stated she was 'calling the shots'. My point is just a) that there is no evidence supporting that and b) she is not the CEO, her role is primarily to make sure that players are in peak condition physically and mentally for games.
She was on the interview panel for the new coachesThat is her new job title (I think she has been with the club a while) but from the publicly available information it sounds like a jazzy way of saying she does the modern 'sports science' bit. Obviously that could potentially bring her into conflict with an assistant manager that thinks he knows better but it seems highly unlikely she alone would make the decision to remove him. Far more likely to be Robins imho.
Which would make sense, right? She was on the interview panel for the new coaches
Haven’t read through all the posts but certainly a bolt from the blue! Hope fans that slagged Boateng off and called him a judus when he left for a bigger club to advance his career ( faux Villa rivalry thing) can somehow loosen that noose around his neck.
When lamenting that two of my favourites players (Boateng and Haji) left us for villa I console myself with the thought that both made us a fair bit of money... then promptly downed tools.Boateng left us a quarter of a century ago so much of our support won't even have seen him play for us.
I was gutted when he left, but I think we had the best of him, when he was pretty much an all action box to box midfielder. After joining Villa he turned into a 'sammy sideways' holding midfielder.
Yes...let's remind anyone who had forgotten, quite how poor a manager Southgate was before he fell on his feet and inherited a decent England side (like Coleman with Wales).Mildly relevant aside, Boateng was well thought of at Boro but 'On 22 January 2008, Boateng had his captaincy rescinded by Gareth Southgate. Southgate cited his desire for Boateng to "concentrate on his game". He was replaced as captain by Emanuel Pogatetz.'
Shortly afterwards, Boateng left the club for Hull. Despite heavy investment in the squad in 07/08 Boro would be relegated the following season with Southgate still at the helm. They would finish just 3 points behind George Boateng's Hull City.
Hmm...
Yeah I have to agree @SkyBlueAussie, genuinely thought we’d have a very good chance and probably get promoted this seasonThis is as bad as Peter Taylor leaving Cloughie to me.
If this wasn't of his own accord then this is a very very bad move.
I am going to have to lay off part of my promotion bet on Betfair now. I don't think this will help our promotion push this year at all.

Jesus weptSo much for a stable pre-season. I was hoping after the pitch debacle and squad turnover stuff happening over the past couple of seasons this one would enable us to start better with a bit of stability and investment. I just can't see this not affecting Robins too. His relationship with Adi was strong. It just a year ago he made the comment that Vivash signing a new contract was the biggest signing we made that pre season and just a year later hes gone. Unless it was his decision to walk away I can't see Robins being here too much longer.
Not at all shocked you posted thisYeah I have to agree @SkyBlueAussie, genuinely thought we’d have a very good chance and probably get promoted this season
I don’t think that we’ve got as good a chance now
So what you’re saying is - you don’t think Robins has been that good all along? It’s all down to Vivaesh? - have a wordYeah I have to agree @SkyBlueAussie, genuinely thought we’d have a very good chance and probably get promoted this season

I think robins has been greatSo what you’re saying is - you don’t think Robins has been that good all along? It’s all down to Vivaesh? - have a word
he’s an assistant manager - he brought good ideas to the plate, ultimately it’s Robins who makes the decisions.

For once they seem to have kept it all very quiet as well.People in the club would obviously have known before today
Guys, they told you in the announcement the reason.
After a review they believe we can have a better coaching structure.
End of and move on.
it is pretty sad that people just can't grip they have decided to make changes to the coaching structure as they feel they are needed to get take the club to the next level. But why, god damn it?! Something MUST have happened!!
