Viveash gone (4 Viewers)

He’s emblematic though. The most obvious of the sort of characters we’ve lost and of the conflict between what’s seen as old school and what’s being brought in.

Losing Fadz and Kelly wasn’t the golden goose. Or Godden and O’Hare. Or Lawrence and Viveash. Or Vik and Gus and Fantaky the year before. (OK maybe Vik and Gus).

It’s a general move from a high motivation environment to a low motivation one. Over the course of a year we’ve stripped out anyone with any character from on and off the pitch.

If that’s unintentional because of a desire to sign players who will appreciate in value that’s one thing, if it’s intentional because the owner doesn’t like a certain personality type that’s something altogether more worrying.
This is a good point and hopefully coincidental, and while we're talking about geese, all of the present lot bar Wilson and MVE wouldn't say boo to one

I'm surprised Adi's methods are old school having been progressive as youth coach at Chelsea. I know the games moved on in the 6 years he's been here, but not that much

I'm also surprised him and Robins not getting on outside. I mean not that they have to be best buddies, but the connection is from playing at the end of careers at Walsall so personalities known from the off and it was Robins who brought him here. Same with Marshy who was also at Walsall with them both.

Tbh if he got the best out of some but others needed something different I'd have enhanced rather than changed as we now have more coaches, he could've been one of them. Horses for courses etc.

What's unforgivable is the last part. I'm sure there are times when many of us would like to let our managers or owners know what we think of them in the workplace, but we don't because we know the outcome and most of us have mortgages to pay. No way could anyone, King or otherwise accept that or it would be open for everyone to do and say as they please. If he did do that, it's incredibly naive unless it was his intention to create a situation where he had to go.
I stopped in the same resort as the players during the 2022 pre season tour

Adi and the backroom staff were in the bar after the players had trained and MR spent most of the time chilling in his room, I just think that is MR character, quiet man who keeps himself to himself outside of football

Absolutely agree, different characters, but doesnt necessarily mean they dont get on.

Cant, but just thought it’s best to let people know it’s not for the reason suggested.

I know I have no previous ITK on here but I know this for a fact

I heard many rumours. Started a fight with a youth team player, was inappropriate to a female member of staff, called Haji Wright Haji Shite and killed Jamie Allen's Goldfish. (Not all at the same time) Who knows..

It's why I described it as a socialist model but if that's the case what is a capitalist doing behind it? It comes down to striving for the average rather than excellence for me!

I’d argue a bunch of people not giving a fuck because they’ll be paid anyway and have no direct link to the fruits of their labour is very much a capitalist model.
Why? we were the same last season and AV was here.

We weren’t this bad last season.

Well we probably were ostensibly, but for different reasons, maybe this is the real friction and one or other out of Vivash /Robins was the stick in the mud influence here? Looking after the originals too long or not!

Viveash was not the golden goose FFS. The golden geese were the players not him, we've lost a lot of the key ones.

Funny how things turn on here, he was getting barbs this time last year because of the Chelsea connection signings

I do think that there is a possibility that some general squad discipline and order may have been lost without adi and going off some rumours we have a few players that think their shit don't stink and have a generally poor attitude towards training .

These rumours could also be false

My worry is in interview he’s angry and agitated which really isn’t his way, be it boring or not his teams have always had a style of play the current team doesn’t, there have been too many back room changes were they a decision made by him or enforced? The viveash thing is ridiculous they’ve probably had a punch up or a row

robins looks haunted and troubled, the business we have done has been hopeless, ten mill for kitching and emc, simms is a laughing stock, haji is ok but ludicrous money, teams a mess and robins is a mess

The pr coming out is just that,MR has been bounced into the decision to dispense with Adi, making himself both weaker and vulnerable to the sack. All the subsequent appointments, the player's have been reacting to that, it's a protest to the owner that's been happening, tonight they have chosen to back their manager , somebody's been waiting in the wings to get the gig but it's been delayed again!

We were at the start and at the end of last season and AV was here then.
Let's wait and see how this season pans out.

I’ll tell you exactly what I heard

Adi had fallings out with players for his style

during the summer we tried to sign a player. The agent exact words were he won’t be signing for Coventry while vivesh is still there. word has spread about his attitude to players (mostly young players)

this caused issues

I believe robins told adi he would be staying even if they got rid of him

after adi left, he tried to contact robins and robins ignored him the whole summer

as I said on this thread the other day - Mark Robins managing another team

So yes they fell out but I believe over robins not having adi back

It is pretty common knowledge at this point that there was resistance from some players making threats that Viveash had to be removed.

If Robins folded to that pressure and that was the core reason then I hate our players even more for putting the club in that position.
