Viveash gone (32 Viewers)

I notice that Binks specifically name-dropped working with Viveash in his post-signing interview a week ago. Doesn't suggest to me that it was widely known he was leaving.
Purely guesswork on my part but I wonder if the shake up started ages ago with the two new coaches being recruited and the plan was for Adi to stay but in a different role, now he's thought better of it or had a better offer and decided to leave

The structure is entirely changed now though isn’t it - Robins has effectively became a head coach.

we have a head of recruitment in Jamie Johnson and Dean Austin as Director of Football. Maybe it’s a case of just moving into a newer role he wasn’t comfortable with

Call me crazy but maybe don’t fuck about with the only thing that’s got you from L2 to the verge of the PL.

Genuinely worried by this. Robins and Viveash have been a team and Adi gets name dropped by players way more than anyone else. Hope Doug isn’t playing silly buggers in the name of instant success.
We’ll wait and see, but it’s worrying I agree. He’s been robins right hand man for seven years and their partnership has got us to where we are.

robins is the manager and adi I imagine was the brains on the grass in conducting the sessions

is robins going to be doing both roles now?
a good start is imperative as if it wasn’t already

Nothing crazy about it. To succeed you need to constantly evolve and improve. If (and it's a huge IF) this move improves the management/coaching team then so be it.

Just a shame he didn't get a send off in the last game he deserves a proper tribute.

OK now I’m worried. Strange timing. Strange comms. And probably the most influential member of staff. Not good at all on the face of it.

Strange timing? It's the first day back pre season. It's obviously not a decision made today or even in the last couple of weeks. Things move on.

I agree with you and I like the Adi/Robins combo, but just to play devil’s advocate, is it the only thing that’s got us from L2 to here? Not saying it isn’t but I’m not on the inside so I can’t say if Adi is the only thing that’s got us this far, maybe it’s been more Robins than Adi? Or other staff members that have contributed?

Not saying I disagree with you, I’m just trying to see it in a positive light, albeit I feel very pessimistic about the whole thing.

Why go now and not at the end of the season when all the goodbyes are happening?

Well see but it smells off to me.

Infers that it was Andy's loyalty to the old both in terms of methodology and possibly crew does it not?

Doesn't his partner also work for the club? Interesting to know if she has also gone.

Thanks for the service Adi. I would like to place on record my appreciation for your time and effort during your seven years with the club. I wish you all the best in your future endeavours.

George, welcome back. You have one match which we will need to win by three, failing which you shall be scapegoated.

Something else that's different this season, No Photos of Mark Robins shaking hands and welcoming New players and Coaching Staff.

Perhaps doesn't want someone lurking in the bushes. 👀

Perhaps either Viveash, the Club or both didnt want to announce it at the end of the season?
Club statements are carefully thought out and made with legal stuff in mind around contracts.

It did say after a 'post season review.'

Time will tell, but it is not that unusual at all. Coventry Rugby got ride of DOR Rowland Winter who had really turned the club around on and off the pitch. He was replaced by Alex Rae who has progressed the club even more.

That’s fine - but it appears we’re starting to act like elite clubs, we’re trying to maximise the performance of our currently players.

if it’s true Vivaesh’s methods don’t sit well with our newer players - it may be time to move on. The methods needed in league two and one are massively different to those to get to and stay in the prem.

I’d hazard a guess that we’ve starting going down an avenue that most prem sides and promoted sides have in place

We can't say that at the moment. The statement didn't make it sound like the departure was a decision Adi made. As I said this was probably decided back in May and Adi knew not long after the season finished. We can only judge the impact during the coming season.

Boeteng doesn't inspire me , coached aston villa u23s for 2 years and was Ghana assistant manager .

Deserves his chance

He other guy has coached at 3 championship clubs .

If we are to hire then surely we look to hire up not sideways

No problem with hiring coaches on their way up. We could maybe do with some Championship experience too though.

To be fair I've misread Carr, he coached at wolves as development coach and Ireland women's assistant .

That appointment pleases me more

I think regardless of the appointments King is now wanting a real promotion shot and Robins will be told to get a team both on and off the field to deliver -- or else

I mean Kieran McKenna was coaching Man Utd’s u23s when he went to Ipswich

the coaches are not supposed to inspire the fans - they’re supposed to coach the players, his ideas maybe that something different to getting the best out of players.

if Vivaesh’s methods are no longer working - then it’s time you move on
