I've always thought Allens been a good player. Always one of those consistent 7/10s and last season, added more goals to his game. Some of the clueless muffins on here who constantly criticise Allen, yet we suddenly look a bit more like a team when he's on and offering an option to recycle the ball. I wouldn't be bothered if I never saw Palmer play for the club again after that.

He’s a winger. Why we signed him when we don’t play with wingers I’m not sure. I really like him so I’m hoping we can find a place for him. He looked good as an attacking mid when he was played there briefly but I think he’s a bit too weak physically to play there for us.Saka looked good too, but nit convinced he’s a wing back. I’m not entirely sure what he is, but I’d like to see him involved more.
Another thing is I really don't understand what Bidwell has done wrong to be dropped. He is significantly stronger defensively that Da Silva and I don't necessarily think hes too far off going forward.
I don't think Wilson did much wrong, but thought Eccles was horrendous. When we lose star players, we have to be stronger as a unit. We can't afford any player to have poor performances. Unfortunately, we had exactly that from several players. Wilson, McFadzean, Palmer and Wright were dreadful. Eccles not much better but finished a bit better. Kitching also poor debut.
Poor going forward but it's the defence that cost us the game tonight, three really shit goals.
3 against Watford too. It's a real concern
I think that's cheating.Time to start Ayari-and Simms instead of Wright. Would like Bidwell for Dasilva too. Allen to push for a start soon.
Or a forward 3-think Cole/Robben at Chelsea. He’s an old fashioned winger - he has to play in a four at the back formation.
And then we sell O’Hare in JanuaryReally not sure we’ve got the recruitment right on that showing. I’d be sweating if I was Dean Austin.
We need to get Ayari up to speed asap as there’s no-one else capable of creating chances until O’Hare returns.
Admit it - we looked far better when Allen was on the field and Palmer off it
Day’s extra rest and they turn in the worst performance so far. It was alarmingly poor and no sane manager can defend it.If Robins comes out and says anything complimentary then I am really going to be annoyed. He has totally messed up tonight.
Completely agree. Anyone who watched the last half and hour at Hull and thought a similar set up would serve us well tonight is crazy. Robins should shoulder some of the blame for that shambles. Alarmingly bad tonight. Palmer and Wright were pathetic. We offered absolutely nothing going forward.3-2 massively flatters us.
There's almost part of me that wishes we'd lost more heavily so MR can't use the 1 goal defeat as an excuse to carry on trying this that isn't working.
Need to see a massive improvement next game, and for me wholesale changes to personnel cos too many players were just shocking. If Palmer and Wright start the next game I give up.
It was always going to be tough when you lose your two best players with a combined 50 goals/assists.What a waste of a season
I’m not someone who usually dogs on a player but fuck me he was woeful tonight. Looked promising the first few games but he looked almost confused as to what sport he was playing tonight.Have to say, Simms did far more than Wright in the 10 mins he was on the pitch.
Eccles had a dodgy match, this is a dickhead conclusion.Eccles was awful, way below the level. Will end up at Shrewsbury. Palmer absolute dross.
I rate Da Silva, but I really rate Bidwell. Mental that he’s been dropped.
Binks showed up well tonight , don't think Kitching will replace him anytime soonThis is an overreaction based on 30 minutes and I don’t entirely mean it, but £4.5mil for Kitching? He is not the comfortable ball playing CB I expected, he looked ponderous.
