Waghorn may have had a poor season but to suggest he is the reason we are not in the playoffs I find unbelievable. Sure he may have contributed to it but so has everyone we win as a team we lose as a team.

Imagine what we could have done this year with a full season of an extra player performing better than O’Hare/Gyokeres etc. I don’t think what I’m saying is that outlandish. We paid him to be the main man and he hasn’t delivered at all.

I can say that's right as he is the top earner and produced less than the rest of the squad and that's a fact.Idislike calling any player but the fact is he's not been upto standard.

At least Waghorn is a 'Name'. Wouldn't surprise me if one of the big clubs in League 1 took a punt on him e.g Sunderland, Ipswich, Sheff Weds.

None of the above clubs would be willing cover his contract in full.

The best we can hope for is someone takes him on loan. The issue with that is we're still left with a sizeable chunk of his wage to cover.

So that justifies signing an inadequate and injury prone player for the championship on an £800 grand 2 year deal?

We should have released him last summer
When the original post stated Kelly signing, I assumed he meant his initial signing. If he was referring to signing a new contract then that's a different argument.

Clearly that’s what I’m meant - he’s a waste of a wage now

Kelly has more than done his bit but I’d let him go now. I think he’s injury prone now naturally with age and team and recruitment has outgrown him.

Waghorn will need to realise if he wants to play regular he will probably need to drop down a league and have a drop in wages.

He’s not fat at all.
They’re hardly constructive comments for a player who’s been open about suffering mental health issue either.

Lets give him a free pass then.

A lot of people suffer badly from mental health, which has unfortunately only got worse since Covid, but if someone's shit at their job then they aren't beyond criticism

I said in hindsight he’s been a poor signing.
You’re just posting personal abuse towards him and frankly you’re excuse that other people suffer mental health problems is a shit excuse.

He’s been a poor signing in hindsight but he’s nowhere near as bad as what gets made out.

He's looked decent in cameo's recently, back to what he looked like at the start of the season. Can't argue it's not been a poor season for him but feel like there's still a decent player in there, even if not for us.

Waghorn’s performances does not warrant the abuse he is getting yes he isnt performing but it looks like his legs have gone since he came back from Covid as he started well and just fell off and looked out of place. He isnt what he used to be and his wages certainly dont help his cause and I agree that its time to go, but he doesnt deserve all the abuse he gets as he clearly works hard but unfortunately has no longer got the legs to go with it

Some you win, some you loose, for every Gyokeres and Hamer, there's a Waghorn and Walker!

No I'm not. Tell me where i said that?

Best friend of 25 years dad committed suicide due to mental health issues so dont start claiming im doing that.

If you were shit at your job and getting good whack for it, wouldnt you expect criticism?

I dont know what you do but say for example you were a chef and you churned out shit meal after shit meal all whilst wandering about looking like you couldn't give 2 shits about what you were serving up would you expect a pat on the back?

You've taken it the way you have when there's no need. A lot of ex players have been labelled a lot worse on here we all know it, so less of the labelling me as some twat that thinks mental health is an excuse ta
