we don’t keep losing with Walker in team and have won plenty when Godden isn’t in the team?

The main argument with Walker is that the odd goal isn't enough to compensate for his lack of workrate which benefits the whole team ..

His 2 goals clearly aren't enough to keep him in the team , and the answer is surely that

Sorry I didn't mean in relation to the midfield, but I meant if the subs don't make an impact is it on Robins for the wrong changes or the subs themselves for not doing as they're instructed.

Would have to hear what Robins said they were brought on for. Don’t need to rake him over the coals, he’s got it wrong twice in a week and hopefully he learns.

As he said GPM from open play it does.

Basically it's like him dismissing Biamou's goals because of opposition/penalties/not being headers/Jupiter rising in Sagittarius

Er no tbe bbc gpm stats don’t include a fair few of his goals?

Seen the last three matches Walker has played bit of an enigma scored two cracking goals at Blackburn and Preston but offered little else
In my opinion the movement of Matty Godden off the ball makes him the better player for us the way we move the ball around.

If Walker could bring himself to do a bit more closing down etc he'd be in the team because his finishing is very good.

Still think it was harsh to drop someone who'd scored two in two.

My main point is actually we are a better overall team when Walker doesn't start Irrespective of his goal
To be honest though, all of goddens goals have been at home where we are good and both of walkers away from home where we're shite. So your point doesn't really stand.

I dont think walker has started a home game, and actually hasn't played many minutes from the sub bench either.

Rose is dropped from the squad when he wasn’t at fault for either PNE goal and Walker is dropped for scoring twice. Not sure what message that sends out to the rest.

This is just pure speculation that players are going around sullen & pissed off, does the team spirit look lacking, are any players looking demoralised? If we go down that route we’re saying that Robins is a poor man manager, which involves more than just telling people they’re playing/ not playing

And anyway the other argument to it is that they all know they don’t have automatic starts, which is healthy

We might even be a better overall team without godden and walker , as I alluded to In my waghorn vik comment .

Nobody realy replied to that apart from stu

I didn’t say that actually, I’m just thinking how it might look to those in the squad for the only other recognised CB to be dropped completely for not having been all that poor

I've just looked Godden has literally played

29 mins against qpr came on 0-0 lost 2-0 (as did walker)
82 mins away at Millwall 1-1

We've already established godden and Walker no good together , same as yesterday happened at QPR , we lost the ability to hold the ball up .

I don't dislike Walker, he's like many players over the years, talented , good finisher but my god WORK!!!!!

something has to of gone on with Rose, otherwise to not have him on the bench is a bizarre decision.

I don’t buy his argument of wanting more attacking options on the bench, I’m sure Jones and a CB have been there this season plenty of times.

fairly sure we've always had a CB on the bench every game up until yesterday, (sadly I'm now going to go and check), that's why I think yesterday was down to some sort of fall out.

Rose , rightly or wrongly hasn't really been in favour either side of his Injury since we've been in this league .

Maybe he's had enough 🤷‍♂️

MR has signed a couple like that with Walker and Chaplin.

We were told both times that they were the kind of players that need a strike partner to do the donkey work, but give them a chance and they'll likely finish it.

Given we were made aware that neither of them were renowned for 'putting a shift in' surely this must have been flagged up in the scouting.

MR spent ages pursuing both and paying a decent fee for both, only to then not favour them because they don't work hard enough. So why sign them in the first place?

If he thought he could add that element into their game perhaps he ought to look at his success at doing so.

Think all 4 strikers can play their part but it needs to be walker or godden alongside gyok or wags. They r shit together

Perhaps he said ‘start me or don’t bother’ and Robins called his bluff. Would have looked really silly if Dabo ended up at CB

chaplin was a very hard worker who spent most of his time in midfield

Walker will score some goals though , there's no argument from me with that .

Robins Viveash and Lawrence train these players , you'd imagine there is a rational explanation .. as it won't be his finishing will it
