The Dabo one could have been given on another day. It always amazes me that even still so many don’t realise that manager do this sort of thing to deflect away from and protect their players.

What is the actual foul in your opinion? Tangle of legs or shoulder barge? I just can’t see a foul in that

he fell into him and would you have e wanted a penalty if it was o hare going down

Of course I would. I would want a pen under any circumstances but doesn’t mean it should be one. Dabo doesn’t fall into Ikpeazu otherwise they would fall the other way. Watch the clip again and just watch Dabo, he gets barged and then fallen on.

It's all variables isn't it .
Until Var is everywhere all of the time and it's decided by algorithms god forbid.

Izpeazu barges Dabo and then they both lose balance because of it. I don’t even think Dabo challenges for the ball, he’s just barged to the ground and they both go down

But he didn’t give a foul for a barge in real time most refs would have given that

Pen for me. The reason Dabo goes down is he starts marginally behind Ikpeazu and then tries (and fails) to get his left arm across him to slow him down. Ikpeazu is just too strong in that situation, Dabo bounces off him and when he goes down he then clips Ikpeazu who goes down too. It's clumsy and he gets nowhere near actually challenging for the ball.

That's a lot for the ref to process in real time though, so I can also see why it wasn't given.

Warnock lives off the back of people that drool over 8 promotions …

… and forget about 6 relegations, numerous sackings, resigning after relegations and being let go from Crystal Palace when they were in administration because he ‘didn’t have the stomach to fight for the club’.

I wonder how many taxis that’s worth ?

Here's how I see it.

They're running shoulder to shoulder, both seeking marginal advantage, then Ikpeazu barges Dabo over, though not entirely deliberately. His trajectory and size provide too much momentum to resist. As Dabo falls, his proximity to Ikpeazu (and body position, being a smaller man) causes his opponent to fall too.

Was the penalty supposed to be for the initial muscular competition for the ball or for the way Ikpeazu came down with Dabo? Either way, if that's a penalty, everything is. You can see why Boro would appeal for it though and I was intitially worried in real time, but only really because there was something vigorous going on in the area.

The handball was a ball nodded down onto an arm, but that seemed fractionally more justifiable to me, if only because the contact was clearer. Even still, it would have been harsh and I didn't even notice it in real time.

While I'm on, I still don't know why Wycombe got that penalty against us at their place last season. One of their players got too close to Sheaf? Mind you, their disallowed equaliser was onside, so maybe the ref knew he'd screwed up.

Opinions, yeah. Seems I got plenty too.

Agree with that. Was really surprised he didn’t give it from where I was sitting but having seen the clip he made the right decision. Must’ve had a good view of it m.

Staggered people are calling that a 'stonewall' penalty. I can't even see where the foul was meant to have been committed.

We had a good view from the CET stand and didn't think it was, other in there thought is was.
I think given there's no consensus among us you're right,it can't be called stone waller.

Remember the game against WBA when losing 3 nil they went down to seven men to get the game abandoned. Absolutely shameful.
I’ve always had my opinion of him coloured by the same game. The way he sent on the last sub to “tackle” (violently assault!) an opponent within seconds to get sent off and the game abandoned was beyond disgraceful.

Clueless if people are saying that's a pen against us. If that happens to one of our players attacking I wouldn't have any complaints about it not being given. There's just no foul there, what are people seeing?

Read Estoricas assessment which is spot on

Colin's a twunt, always has been, but to be still doing it at his age when he doesn't need the money or the hassle, he clearly loves it and lives for the game. I wouldn't want him here, but football at this level is a poorer place without characters and he's certainly one. Steve Evans on the other hand really is a c**t.

On the pens, guess they're in the seen em given category, you want them for you but not against and nice to be on the right side for a change.
