As someone who's been to the Ricoh this evening and met with and heard Nick Eastwood speaking; you're wrong. It may not be a deal that suits CCFC - that's clear, but it is part of a bigger picture that you're unaware of

Enighten us then....
I know its hilarious. All of a sudden in July someone phoned the old croak out of the blue and deal done quicker than it takes to deliver a bed from John Lewis.
There really are some thick idiots on here.
Perhaps legal tony printed the new lease off for the deal to happen so quick.
Enighten us then....
More pro council bullshit to be lapped up by the masses.
Why should I? I'm not being contrite here, but every fecker claims they know what's happening anyway - so my should I sit here and convince folk who have already made up their minds with the voices in their heads in any case? If I'm being honest, the football club was barely mentioned. It's all about egg-chasing
Sorry to say, Torch, but reading your posts makes me comment the same as with Grendel - With the utterly dire position we are in on and off the pitch you'd have thought sticking together and fighting for our club might be an idea but you just engage in petty point scoring, rehash the same old pointless arguments and insult fellow City fans. You may not mean to, but you sound like you're enjoying the current situation
It's funny, you never seem to jump in when the likes of spider-ricoh are on here, declaring this situation a victory against Sisu.Sorry to say, Torch, but reading your posts makes me comment the same as with Grendel - With the utterly dire position we are in on and off the pitch you'd have thought sticking together and fighting for our club might be an idea but you just engage in petty point scoring, rehash the same old pointless arguments and insult fellow City fans. Fans sticking together, my arse.
You do make me laugh, Michael. Quite rich after some of the stuff you've come out with. I'm sure you'll be copying and pasting that little spiel to a few others. Or maybe not.
Posters like you and Covmark are intent in pigeonholing me (and others). You don't seem to be able to cope with the idea I criticise sisu and I criticise the council and have been clear the wasps deal is a disaster for us - you may not mean it but you seem really happy now in being able to lay into the council (quite rightly) but not caring about the state ccfc is in or doing anything about it
I'd be very interested to hear how this is going to help Cov RFC.

Michael you never said a word about the council until Wasps turned up.
Where was your looking at the bigger picture?
Dai Young is meeting with Scott Morgan this week to start work on joint player development. Peter Rossborough was representing CRFC, and 44 of the other 46 local clubs also sent attendees or delegations.
At the moment, all talent is routed via Worcester, of course. This ends in 2016. After this, it's fair to expect Wasps to pitch hard for it - and I'd guess they'll be successful. At that point, it' fair to say all local talent, rather than going to Worcester, will stay in Coventry via the Wasps-Coventry partnership. In that regards, it's very much a positive, I guess.
Wasps have stated that their preferred slot will be Sundays at 2pm; and CRFC will be Saturday at 3pm; so no fixturing clash
Totally inaccurate. The opposite is true. CCFC is all I care about. Dont give a shit about sisu, acl, wasps, ccc, higgs.
Thats why i've always wanted us to get a share of the ricoh. I've not seen you criticise the council before.
MMM, was it all about rugby or was there any info on any plans for the training centre? Or anything else that benefits the city?
Be under no illusions though that CRFC is intended to permanently be the small relation of Wasps. Exporting the city's best prospects to clubs not based there or clubs imported from elsewhere.

Who's happy, really? The ones who are happy are spider-ricoh et al. Not me that's for sure.Posters like you and Covmark are intent in pigeonholing me (and others). Errrr...you'll find plenty of stuff from me going back to 2012 questioning why acl never made a profit net of ccfc rent, questioning the council's motives, arguing neither sisu nor ccc care about ccfc or the fans. I don't share your blinkered view so you have to make stuff up. So the same question goes for you - what are you going to do to fight for CCFC?
MMM's interpretation is ludicrous.
Couldn't agree more. Fingers crossed, they go to the wall.Whilst I commend Nick Eastwood for trying to engage the local Rugby community, I still feel its like the big boys entertaining the local yokels, as its something they feel they have to do, just another tick in a box.
Whether that is the case or not, I hope they fail badly. We already have local Rugby teams in the area, who have long been established, without some London club muscling in for a piece of the action. Many may disagree but I really would love to see them fail, and do a double deal and bugger off with SISU.
