Wasps downward spiral... (5 Viewers)

No relegation is a great way to strangle itself without the jeopardy the same teams end up at the bottom and it gets more boring than it already is
Especially in a sport where players could genuinely get injured every time they step on the pitch

The perfect end would be these parasites get relegated and the real side from Coventry get promoted and then the trap door closes as I can’t imagine the richest/biggest team in Europe are very popular

The team that always gets relegated beating them at home with players missing. Couldn’t happen to a better bunch.

This result isn’t a shock. Wasps are on a pathway to relegation this season and that’s not being over dramatic or chuffed about today’s result. Everything in relation to wasps is flat and going south fast. Supporters or interested watchers of them in the past are not going anymore. The ‘dream’ that Coventry people were going to turn up each game with 33,000 people watching was plain arrogance by wasps and will eventually finish them.

They will go down this season.

This is hilarious from Drunken Wasps.

Don't know where the richest team in Rugby crowing has gone, realism seems to be hitting hard.

"The big worry is that there are very few viable alternatives, we need another Gatland who is happy to take on an underdog team with very few resources, but knows how to mould a team and an identity. Dai hasn't shown that and let's face it, he has had plenty of time.

A half empty Ricoh will be a millstone around our necks.

They've turned into CCFC.

The place is cursed and the curse is the council and the unnecessary £21m loan it forced on ACL, it is the common thread.

It seems like its pretty hard to do as they've made it so only one team goes down but if they did somehow manage to get relegated then I can see their future mirroring ours. The 'just want to watch top class rugby' argument would go out the window and crowds would drop like a stone. Imagine them playing at the Ricoh every week with similar sized crowds to CRFC at the Butts!

Looking at the pictures on twitter I'd be amazed if the number of people in the ground was over 10K today. Interesting to see they've been 'accidentally' charging people £10 a pint and only have one till where you can claim back the deposit on your reusable cup.

They will surely need to go to closing a stand with crowds as they are. Really says a lot to be in this position 5 years on with a totally stacked deck in their favour and the council pulling out all the stops for them, they still can't make it work

That's the problem with trying to sell yourself as consumer product

there may have been but it’s revenue on match day that’s the issue - I suspect it’s very low as a lot of the crowd will be concessions and discounts - it’s revenue that’s probably no better than they had at Wycombe

interesting the great match day experience which the likes of Neil White talked up is under real fire from supporters

love the picture of a pizza which looks like something cooked up in Chernobyl and that with a beer it’s £14.50 a pop

everything is being scaled down - also less events as a lot run at a loss

Place is falling into disrepair too, they are going to need to put their hands in their pockets or take the hit on having less interests in events soon enough.
