I think it’s always been more about the drink than the game, they will say stuff like having a couple of pints at Wasps and then nothing about the game.
I had a quick look on twitter the other day. Majority of people moaning the down have the fan village and other entertainment anymore. Almost like that is more important than what's going on, on the pitch.
Onceawasp still don’t get it. We still dislike our owners, we protested to get them to keep us in Coventry - something they have now done, if an opportunity for better owners comes about then I’m sure we’ll all get behind it, and yeah they did boot us out.
also the fickleness comment got me… this coming from a team who’s lost thousands of fans because let’s face it, they’re shit
They are probably ex city fans that their their colours to the wasps mast and die to the deserved vitriol they received can’t see anything but wasps being the good guysOnceawasp still don’t get it. Funny ain’t it…There is now a bit of a negative feedback on the forums as well. Some saying Coventry is too far and they won’t be going back - the council have invested a lot into this project and are going to look ridiculous if it fails

People aren't going because of a small marketing team?
Maybe they don't have a marketing team to pretend anybody gives a shit.
Something has obviously happened in the background. They stopped giving them wall to wall coverage when all the adverting stopped but now they've gone from just not really bothering about them much to daily articles about how shit things are.It's interesting that the telegraph narrative is shifting.

The funny thing is I think the latter two reasons listed probably would be a factor if you're not a die hard Wasps fan and are pondering whether to go up to a game or not, which is exactly their problem.
They still don't have a hardcore/loyal fan base established in the city who are going to turn up week in week out regardless of any of these issues whereas Coventry City does

Strange none of these factors seem to have impacted our games?

Yes, trying to model yourself on a game that is significantly more popular and rooted in the communities was always going to failAlso with the threat of relegation gone their season is already over and it's barely just begun.

Know there has been a lot of talk about Wasps giving away an awful lot of free tickets, but generally to schools, sponsors etc. Just had weekly email from Ticketmaster, and offering TWO FREE tickets for the supposedly massive game in Premier Rugby terms on Sunday for Wasps v Saracens. All...www.skybluestalk.co.uk
I would love for Wasps, and everyone else in any sport for that matter, to have to report attendances as actual attendance (not counting season ticket holders who haven't shown up), paid attendance and ticket revenue.
