So in other words, it was the stadium that Ashley was throwing most of the money at?
We all love a good conspiracy, particularly one that fucks the club. This just fits though. All the pieces and people are in place. It’s going to happen.SISU have been waiting for this for years, there's no way they just sit there and don't even make a bid unless they've agreed to sell, in my opinion.

What do you think Cllr Duggins is doing then?
I find it all rather intriguing. Besides wanting best for CCFC I like watching the strategy and legal angles being played out.In the space of 24 hours. We have had NEC 100% buying the ground to Ashley 100% the ground.
ACL being purchased without admin. to ACL filing for Admins.
So what you’re saying is - expect SISU to own it by the end of the day?In the space of 24 hours. We have had NEC 100% buying the ground to Ashley 100% the ground.

He'll be kicking off with the mad hatters as to who sits at the frontHe's just bought a ticket on the SBA coach, leaving Cov Baths, thank me later.
Maybe,Thought he resigned over the Super League fiasco, could be wrong.
On his tablet auctioning his Wasp scarf on ebay? What do you think Cllr Duggins is doing then?
Entirely justified paranoia...Sure, but no decision won’t be voted on by the full council, that’s just not how it works. Like Gilbert’s story about a Wasps bailout, would never have happened in a million years and it was just playing on people paranoia.
Slight problem is that RFU rules apparently require a Phoenix Wasps to play at their existing home ground for 2 years.
If Ashley gets the club I can see Hoffman having a role, it would give us a local connection tooHmm.
How close are Hoffman and Ashley. It looks like they’ve had some dealings.
Premier League chairman 'to resign' after Newcastle takeover backlash
Sky News report Premier League chairman Gary Hoffman is due to resign due to unrest over the Newcastle United takeoverwww.chroniclelive.co.uk
Unpopular for spending only £35m a season on transfer fees and putting a few signs up.Not wanting to put a downer on it but Ashley was not a popular guy in Newcastle !! They couldn’t wait to get rid of him - stadium name change should be no issue here !
Responding to questions with a one word reply?
Following an outdated population estimate in order to permit unnecessary development of the green belt and the city's fringes and playing fields?
Dragging his heels on HMO orders so that entire areas of the city become dominated by students to the detriment of the others that live there.
Breaking strikes, grandstanding and focussing on grand schemes rather than the day-to-day stuff that really matters.
Don't get me started on what the Council are doing Pete, I've got to work today and it would take too long.
However, I can't honestly see what they actually can do with regard to ACL - genuinely mate, what do you think they can do about it?

No mate. Not in my lifetime. Not ever. I'm a union man and an ex-Labour party member. Of the left and proud of it. That's why it hurts watching how this Council behaves.
Not you, you plonker!
Just allowing Robins to sign a couple of decent loanees in January without having to “move” someone on first would be a bonus. The only thing that puts me off MA is he was very quick to sack managers and it never seemed to improve their situation so it begged the question why. Although I’d be delighted if we had the transfer budget that Newcastle had I’m not sure who was behind recruitment but I don’t rate them, Newcastle seemed to buy a lot of average premier league players but pay transfer fees that in my mind would indicate that they should have been better than they were. Yo yoing between the premier league and championship only seems to confirm my opinion.
Don’t get me wrong, he’d be a massive improvement on our current owners. I just hope he puts some faith in Robins and Viveash and leaves the day to day running and recruitment of the team to them. I have more faith in them than I do the managerial roundabout at Newcastle and the recruitment policy at Newcastle.

Rich oil nations might not exist as much then if we go all electric vehicles.Maybe if he gets the club as well, we’ll follow the same trajectory as Newcastle and in 10 or so years time we will be owned by an oil rich nation?
Why would you complicate further the deal for the stadium from a company in administration by conflating it with a takeover of a club not in administration. What benefit would it have?Yup, sorry to say it really does just look like he’s in it to buy the CBS, the football club just doesn’t seem to be on the radar.
Hopefully not the distressing of the club and the inevitable relegation to League 1.What were Overson and Dawkins referring it .
One step back two forward
