Sunderland didn’t go for 40m. Someone apparently had that turned down.I sort of agree.
I know people will look at Sunderland going for £40m and say we aren't worth as much but buying CCFC and the Ricoh for more than that is an exciting project. The Ricoh is the most unique stadium in the country with the complex attached. CCFC are also a club with huge potential, great location in the country, big city and catchment area.
Wouldn't take much to become a local hero here.
Wouldn't take much to become a local hero here.
Another interpretation of this might be that Sisu may inject a small amount of funds to CCFC, just to strengthen their hand by giving the impression they aren't in a weak position?MR has suddenly gone from saying there is no money for any new players in the January window, to saying 1, 2, or 3 new signings expected.
Would you have preferred no ccfc?
Ashley is worth about £4b
If he wants us, he will get us - think he would get bored making SISU squirm for years to save himself a few million. If he has a project/aspirations to do something with us, I'd have thought he'd want to get on with it, albeit he seems like he'd be a canny poker player (hidden aces up his sleeve etc)
Not how Ashley thinks - he will pay bottom book price.
Mark Knopfler is one of the all time greats and Dire Straights instrumentally brilliant
Isn’t it the case though that whether CCFC are in administration or not, the people he’s ultimately paying the money to are the same? Just with an administrator there’s extra fees to pay. So may as well start making offers sooner rather than later if it’s a project he has in mind
Doubt administration will happen. We could sell players to stop that happening get relegated reduce the wage bill and reward investors accordingly
Go on then. Who has said what? It’s not
Or just reward investors now by selling up
Doubt they would raise as much they will just think differently
They’d probably get a similar outcome for a Championship squad with valuable players as they would for selling off said players then being relegated
if she moved the club again frankly no one should support that and even comprehend entertaining her logic
no chance

Is that chopper in the video a coincidence or just a coded way to announce that you are ITK?Went to Newcastle to meet my brother at a mark Knopffler concert - banging tune (Newcastle play it at the start of every home game)
Not sure we need to know what your banging tune is SBHHWent to Newcastle to meet my brother at a mark Knopffler concert - banging tune (Newcastle play it at the start of every home game)
The argument that SISU is losing money:
Counter argument is that the squad at the start of this season is worth (say) £10m more than last and the £5m put in leaves £5m profit on the books (ie CCFC is worth more)
CBA to argue.
Bottom line is that those who think that Joy has to sell for a balloon and a goldfish need to have a word with themselves. Then a shrink.
Well I think so, offer all 3 players out in January do we get more than £20 million for the lot?
Administration is the final outcome for us though , and she will lose all her investment
Fair point but they would still lose the lotunless they manipulate the process like they did with Otiumwouldn’t surprise me with that witch.
No but I'm sure he'll be trying to get a ticket for Wembley.Fucking hell

Personally I'm hoping we never get to to a point where we have Sepalla saying we're moving again and the EFL saying you're out the league if you do. But that is a worry in the Ashley scenario, two people neither of whom are prepared to back down or that concerned about the collateral damage they cause.Would you have preferred no ccfc?
You can make an argument for the necessity of both previous moves, the game at Burton and even the potential of games at Walsall, you might not agree with it but that argument is there. Not sure you can make a solid argument for moving again because SISU haven't made any effort to purchase the stadium after a decade of trying to distress ACL to the point it was available for purchase. Was referring to the past and not the future

I know a lot of people were concerned with the potential of the NEC taking over but I didn't really buy into the idea that they would concrete over the pitch & stick a roof on or raise the rent to ridiculous levels. I'm yet to be convinced that a relatively passive landlord who just lets us do are thing is worse than someone like Ashely trying to distress SISU into selling the club.
He can put the rent up can't he.. internally, the club are already concerned with this....How can he distress them?
