Yes agree, I am sure EFL would need a seriously good story to justify another move, so I think Ashley will play it difficult with them. Also think advice will be constantly given to him from an inside source/potential future Chief Exec of Chairman even?

Cant see Ashley buying the lease for anything close to £25m - the valuation is driven down by the £13m dilapidation requirements

There is some talk of a separate refinance to them which again is on his terms as the preferred bidder. Also they have security over assets with wasps holdings so the trustee can claim secured assets there

Ashley can take considerable time to purchase the football club. In the meantime he gets assured revenue through the clubs sub lease. He would I’m sure not be adverse to wasps playing as well. He will look to maximise revenue through the stadium initially. He can wait years to buy the club if he wants and can wait until it’s value is driven down - he never buys things without looking at profit

It’s all looking good for Ashley. I think SISU’s business cycle curve is going to go into free fall. Recession on the way, fewer discretionary sales for a while, f and b downturn. Ashley could hit them in 12 months, but the gamble is whether he’d be bidding for a L1 team.

Aside from the debt it’s trying to service as part of WHL. As a stand alone business it breaks even/makes a small profit consistently. We’re talking about thousands maybe tens of thousands, not hundreds of thousands or millions.

I never thought I'd say it but I believe the noose is slowly tightening around SISU if they don't purchase the stadium.

So what now? Will they put their money where their mouth is and plough ahead with the smokescreen that is the Warwick University development? Highly unlikely. They struggle to assist the club, for what I’d presume is a nominal tax bill, don’t invest in the playing squad and continue to charge an inordinate amount of interest year upon year. It’s difficult to ascertain their actual intentions for the football club, they certainly aren’t communicating whatsoever. When was Joy’s last fruitless statement? 18 months ago?

The pressure from fans will intensify as the months and years tick by, more so if we aren’t in this division, the manager isn’t backed and the attendances begin to dwindle. The performance on the pitch in recent years has taken the focus away from their horrendous mismanagement, but it won’t continue indefinitely. After the likes of Sheaf, Hamer, Gyokeres and O’Hare have departed, I predict that we will drop like a stone. Several things don't add up if you believe all the negative stuff.

Who provided the finance to keep the stadium operational so we could continue to play there, (at least until the WC)?
It couldn't have realistically been Sisu / CCFC considering they owe significant money to HMRC, and would it even have been accepted until a preferred bidder was identified and had agreed to it?
It wasn't CCC I don't think - why would they help us out?
So it must have been the preferred bidder or at least they must have agreed to it - am I right? the timing of the announcement / confirmation fits.

MR has suddenly gone from saying there is no money for any new players in the January window, to saying 1, 2, or 3 new signings expected. Strange, even though he talks about only Dom Hyam's pay being made available. Doubt he was earning enough to finance up to 3 new players.

At home games perhaps, but genuinely feel people have got the taste for away games nowadays - Even this season we we’re rock bottom the numbers going away from home were still strong

I acknowledge that MA could take his time buying the club, (perhaps even years) but we might be in L2 by then, is that what MA would want? My feeling is he will know full well how SISU operate and will pay closer to what they want in order to get the club sooner.
Certainly he has them at a disadvantage but not so much that they will come begging to him rather than cycle us through the lower leagues again.
