The land around the arena remains "ripe for development" yet despite planning permission hasn't happened. It's almost as if the council's belief just ignores commercial reality
The biggest worry is what the fuck they are up to now.
Other councillors calling for resignations publicly.
He's an officer and the cllrs are the council so he's technically correct. Looks like Gilbert's source was spot onView attachment 27177
So Reeves is directly quoted saying this. Almost like he's part of Wasps.
"We would have gone to the Council".
My thoughts exactly.
Unless they plan to use Ashley to drive SISU out.
a) It appears to be Martin Reeves and b) that's a question put about Wasps innit, and not about ACL once put into administration. We knew there was potential pre-administration, we all wrote to our councillors to avert it!I underestimated the councils conniving, won't make that mistake again.
He will reply and say "all I want is owners who buy us some players. If sisu do this I would be ok with it"

As soon as I saw this I thought wtf were all these council -related statements 2/3 weeks ago about not getting involved. To be honest though it doesn't seem a great long-term deal in that the 60m was to basically pay-off and re-organize debt - basically Bond mk2.
So what the fuck are they up to now if they were trying to pull that beforehand?
Whatever it is, it won't be to benefit the club that's for sure.
Hate to repeat it ad nauseum but I've said for years that the senior officers at the council have driven this whole thing over years with Lucas and co useful idiots. Here it is spelt out. Fortunately it seems the current group of councillors have seen it for what it is.
They're not going to come out overtly and say it are they? Wonder how the story got to the TimesHow are they getting away with it though?
If Reeves has gone behind all their backs to try and push an offer of a bailout for Wasps surely that's not a good look?
It's also clear now that Reeves is heavily involved with the takeover process too.
tbh I honestly don't quite know the processes, but the Chief Exec's job would be to come up with ideas, and then propose them to councillors who have the option to accept or reject them. In itself it's probably not an issue, but probably becomes one if George Duggins has been denying any involvement, continues to deny any involvement (and he has been unequivocal on that, hasn't he) and then it comes to light in a high profile case that makes Duggins look like a clueless moron [space for obvious comment left here].If Reeves has gone behind all their backs to try and push an offer of a bailout for Wasps surely that's not a good look?

find it very difficult to believe that negotiations over any period of time would have remained hidden +/or been kept secret from senior councillorstbh I honestly don't quite know the processes, but the Chief Exec's job would be to come up with ideas, and then propose them to councillors who have the option to accept or reject them. It’s surely a problem if there is a conflict of interest as an unelected official is essentially steering the council, deciding what ideas are put to them, and controlling the narrative.tbh I honestly don't quite know the processes, but the Chief Exec's job would be to come up with ideas, and then propose them to councillors who have the option to accept or reject them. Indeed. It is insane that somebody in such a position be involved in any local enterprise. Surely the whole idea is you are compensated to be a neutral advisor/manager type not to bend over backwards to give grants and development opportunities to a business you are involved with? Also his personal conflict of interest in ACL etc.
So Duggins knew there was going to be an article published by the times? So surely he knew the content?
He’ll have been asked for comment or even just given a heads up, I doubt they’ll have sent the article for approval.
