He didn’t want Phil voicing his opinion that 90% of people in Cov wanted them out, “ not everybody Phil, not everybody “ then cut the bloke off! Censureship at work right there, I thought BBC was meant to be unbiased

The former Wasps fly-half spent four years at the troubled club before their doomed move to Coventry in 2014, and recalled playing his old employers in a Premiership Cup match at the Ricoh Arena in front of just 250 people - a sign, he thought, that the writing may have been on the wall.

From Dave Walder ex Wasps player from before the move, they never got decent crowds, did they?

BBC is losing its unbiased mantle due to having government donors as Chair, Director General and other party cronies on their board. It’s a bit tough being a journalist investigating those in power if they’re connected to your board.

My missus heard that and was astonished that a caller was basically being told off and not to go there. I feel a touch uncomfortable with Clive’s position at times with wasps and there is no doubt listening to anyone I speak to that Clive is not quite in touch with how the Coventry public feel about wasps and doesn’t want a discussion on the topic on air?

Obviously Clive will deny this but there is no doubt many listeners feel the same.

I like Clive he is very good at football commentary and we should appreciate him more at times but I wish he wouldn’t jump at the caller when he disagrees.

That’s his only negative I feel.

I thought Oggy handled it quite well and in a way I don't think most could argue with. Impressed with him in general considering the types who call in most of the time

If I was a wasps fan , forget the coventry Clingons because they're not their fans , I'm talking proper wasps fans that Richardson couldn't give a fuck about when he moved them 90 miles up the road ..... I'd be keeping my fingers crossed that my club ended up back down south.

The coventry / midland wasps fans can fuxk themselves tbh .. who cares how they feel

I think it is more of the ones who came from the South not giving a fuck about others fans from that area who couldn't make the roundtrip.

I can only share in the lack of empathy with what's going on now.

Still expecting tomorrow to bring some sort of skulduggery from the Council.

This is the beauty of it.

They're all Machiavellian as anything. It's not what they say, but if/how they split up the costs between them.

That's the true measure in all this.

I don’t think even the council can save this one. Their best hope of sliming their way out of it is sell it to someone and hope they buy the club. That way - they don’t sell to SISU yet they don’t piss off the only possible tenant they can have

Let's just say that CCC wishes to keep hold of the head lease.

How can they pass it on to a company that doesn't have a sporting element to it?

You can't have one without the other.

They are intrinsically linked.

There is no way any of it is worth the £50M or so that was bounded around last week. Think that was a lot of pie in the sky/wishful thinking to get a proposed auction figure.

How much was the Debenhams complex sold for in the centre of town?

£6M?

BBC unbiased? i suppose you’re being ironic. The political arm of the BBC has for years shown complete contempt for democracy and any grass root initiative. Favouring the interests of the Sky Blue fan base over the ruthless commodification of a community asset by a London franchise would therefore be extremely uncharacteristic.

Yup, you're correct. The BBC have been pretty pro-Tory for years now haven't they.

Well, it was though wasn't it?

You can't be that sharp if you read that and still think there hasn't been a third reich style propaganda drive from Wasps with the local media outlets the entire time they've been here.

I’m……..not denying that (Although, “third reich”? Really?)

Go back and read what Gilbert said - if the Telegraph was indeed suppressing all negative Wasps stories, how do you explain the link in the tweet?

Not that I will be crying in my sleep about it, but the 700 plus ST holders at Wasps will have spent a few hundred quid each for the privilege of watching 2 ? home games, I think. Ouch - they will presumably be a long way down any list of creditors.
