I don't see any reason they'd kick us out. The NEC being terrible seems to be based on scenarios people have invented in their heads. There's no guarantee that if SISU got the stadium they wouldn't keep hold of it and charge us £1m a year in rent. There's also no reason to believe that the NEC will kick us out at the end of the current lease.

Obviously in an ideal world we get the stadium and the whole lot gets sold on to someone who wants to pump money into the club but there's little to indicate that's going to happen in any of the possible scenarios.
The problem with the NEC bid is that of all the options it is the one most likely to have sisu here and in control of the club.

Also, if no stadium would Joy actually start seriously looking at a new ground?

I suspect no but you'd need to ask what their exit strategy would be if they miss out on this.

I think the real interesting part is that they've seemingly got in these additional investors in with whom they're doing the 51/49 split (if true). Given the fact that money seemingly shouldn't be an issue for a billion $ hedge fund, you'd have to think that they've played a clever hand and are bringing in someone else which can only help with their CCC relationship.

Where did you see this comment

If SISU can't get hold of the stadium I can't see why they would continue their ownership as their options for recovering their investment would be much limited.

They could cut their losses and run, they could take a more benevolent and supportive view of ownership, or they could throw us away in a fit of spite.

I can't se how they could justify continuation of their current business model

Sorry misread , where did you see the post about NEC
Shmee asked me that as well.

Don't want to attribute to anyone without their permission and I don't know if it's a repeated rumour which is why I qualified it.

The NEC might say "We're interested in the exhibition hall" we don't want to run the stadium bowl generally, here CCFC is a new sublease giving you access to it 24/7. We'll hire it from you if we want to use the stadium bowl to stage a concert. You make a contribution to the central catering services and get any profits attributable to your operation.

Just seen a comment (I know it may be a rumour and I'm not endorsing it) that a 4:00 pm deadline yesterday has been extended and NEC have come in with a revised offer
If the NEC are successful and acquire the stadium do we see Mike Ashley or the Dawkins lot still being interested in just the football club.
